Well the Raiders are playing the Lions so it is a toss up, gotta go with the home team then. Plus Raiders look improved during pre-season. I pick them as well to win that game.

I'm not picking the regular season 1, until a week or so. Still marinating the teams.

This will be the 11th time the two teams have squared off in the preseason with each team winning five times apiece. The Seahawks won the inaugural meeting 12-9 in overtime on August 2, 1979, followed by two Minnesota victories in back-to-back preseasons in 1982 and 1983. After a one-year hiatus, Seattle took two straight; a 27-10 win in 1985 and a 27-17 win in 1986.

The teams have alternated wins in the last five meetings with Minnesota holding a 3-2 edge. In the preseason finale in 2005, the Vikings won 23-21 at Qwest Field on a Paul Edinger 35-yard field goal as time expired to win the game.

In the regular season, the teams have met ten times with Minnesota holding a 6-4 advantage, but have split the last four meetings. Shaun Alexander turned in one of his most impressive performance of his career vs. the Vikings on September 29, 2002. In that game, he rushed for 139 yards and scored five touchdowns (four rush, one rec.) in Seattle’s 48-23 win. His five touchdowns scored in one half is an NFL record and also are the second-most in NFL history to tie with nine others.

In last season’s meeting in Seattle, the Vikings defeated the Seahawks, 31-13. Matt Hasselbeck injured his knee in that game and missed the next four games. Seneca Wallace posted a 2-2 record in his absence.

An hour until kickoff. woot! clapping
