Come and tell me which graph is clearest - more graphs on page 2 now!

No really - it IS that boring a topic! lol geek

As most of you know, I am coming to the end of my degree, and ever closer to my dissertation deadline (Friday). So before you kick me out again, help me!

I have battled with these graphs for weeks, and I need to know which is clearest.

The Question was: How necessary do you think counter-terrorism measures are in buildings in the following cities?

Option 1:

Option 2:

Hope you understand them confused

Thanks guys grouphug

EDIT thats not clear at all! lol

Ok so I asked them to tick the box of either:
Highly necessary
Necessary
Unsure
Unnecessary
Highly Unnecessary,

For each city

So, for example - most people chose Highly Necessary or Necessary for London and New York, and only about 8 people chose Highly necessary for Edinburgh. Comprende? confused lol

Option 1. No doubt.

Studies show that bar graphs are some of the easiest to read. No contest, Alice - good luck!

Bar graph. It's more recognizable to people than the bottom graph. Also, the bottom one would be more useful if your x-axis was measuring over time or some other unit of measurement, but it's only naming cities which points between them have no real value other than to show the incline or decline between cities.

Definitely the bar graph. thumbs up!
