i have probably a dozen pair of shoes, though i only ever wear half of what i own. i hate shopping for shoes. i don't find them inspiring at all. if i can find a pair of bland shoes that match everything and will take forever to break down, i'm happy.

I went to a shoe shop today and it was 5 pairs for $100 omfg so I thought just for fun I would pick out 5 pairs and imagine buying them and wearing them, but I couldn't even find one pair I liked! lol I am hopelessly fussy.

I don't post often, but shoes are my thing. I've been known to purchase 10-20 pairs a day. You all have now made me realize that I have a problem.

I sold 486 pairs of shoes in my garage sale alone. I'm left with just about 1200 pairs which 60% haven't even been worn. I'm moving to Mexico in Sept. and I'm trying to narrow it down to 40 pairs. I already have 10 pairs there. I don't see it happening.

I feel like crap now because my addiction has been validated by this topic. I'm going to hide now! boxed

I am not counting, although nearly 100 for sure. I give so many away to where there is a need every year. (many worn only once)

However, I usually only wear a few favorites. I have been wearing sweater clogs for a few years now and not much else.

biggrin

One day I'm going to see the most perfectly beautiful pair of heels and I'm going to buy them and display them on the wall. I've stopped buying shoes that I know I won't wear. But I figure that doesn't have to keep me from admiring them as beautiful objects. Plus, spending three or four hundred bucks on Art doesn't seem so painful. giggle

I have about 30 pairs or less including 3 inch heeled gold knee high boots. They're fabulous! I'm the only gal in my small town who can rock them properly (actually I bought them full price then bought a 2ed pair when they went on sale smile ) My feet are fussy so I'm a nightmare to shop for shoes w/.

I knew predominant would have a lot of shoes... giggle

(It just reminded me of that bag topic a while back...)

Lemme see...

This is quite conservative for a gay man, I guess, but:

~ 3 pairs of shoes

~ 8 pairs of trainers

I want these ankle boots REALLY bad! I think they're better for the winter time tho.

Those are neat! They have a Louis XIV era thing going on.What would you wear w/ those?
I LOVE boots! In the summer I LOVE wedges.

I give shoes away to Purple Heart and other people (the ones I've never worn) and I always get more but I've never wanted less... it's a sickness.

Oooooh these just came in the mail today, and they look HOT!

They are a tiny bit long, but that's because I have wide feet, and always go up a half a size. It's better to have them a little big than too tight, right?

Yeah, I've been wearing them for a couple hours now, and the heel is not even touching my skin! Maybe I should put some padding back there. Do you have any suggestions?

You can still walk in them, no? that's what they're meant for.

I'll have to think about that one because of the style of the shoe, I'm not to sure how you would pad it without it showing. Unless you use thin foam, cutting it to fit the front part of the shoe.

That could work. The half size smaller was the PERFECT length, but it pinched my toes so badly that a few minutes of walking was unbearable. I hate having wide feet. pout
