grilled chicken breast and a light salad

roasted turkey leg with some greens and a light dash of gravy

salmon steak with dill

dont eat, rice, pasta, or bread. especially white rice, pasta and bread.

and no cakes

its all about ballance, the right protein to carb ratio..

Rice Pasta and Bread are my favourite things lol you're absolutely right though they're not good... a little in moderation a couple of days a week maybe would be alright though?

Honestly?

Mustard lettuce and pickle sanwiches are a girls best friend.

Wrap a pickle and mustard in some lettuce and there ya go!

Add some turkey to the sandwich and it's perfect.

I LOVE HUMMUS!!! I eat it with flax seed tortilla chips (from Trader Joes!), or carrot sticks. It's just so good, and pretty low cal (as long as you don't eat the whole tub)

I also like to have a little brie on whole wheat crackers. I have to watch my portions on this one, because cheese is pretty fatty. Still, a small amount is very satisfying, and keeps my blood sugar up until the next meal time.

Whole grains are better for you than processed, bleached flours.

And carbs in moderation are fine. Don't trust anyone who tells you you must cut them out completely to be healthy.

I agree. When I eat carbs, they are whole grains, or natural sugars. When I steer clear of the prcessed kind I feel MUCH better!

Wheat in moderation is fine. smile There's no need to go to extremes in diet in one fell swoop. It's generally too much change at once and dooms people to failure. Natisse is asking some good questions to simply start making healthier choices. Putting her on a strict vegan, wheat-free diet immediately isn't gonna work. lol

I agree with most of what you've said, but I've never seen any research showing wheat as bad for anyone.
