Battle of two 3-0 teams. At

SEAHAWKS AT BEARS GAME AT A GLANCE

The Seahawks (3-0) travel to Chicago this week and take on the Bears (3-0) in front of a national television audience Sunday night on NBC. Kickoff is set for 5:15 p.m. (PT).
This week’s game will be just the second time the Seahawks have played in a primetime game on NBC - Seattle last played in primetime on NBC Thanksgiving Day on November 27, 1986, versus the Dallas Cowboys. Seattle won that game 31-14.
However, the Seahawks are no stranger to the lights of Sunday night football. Since Mike Holmgren took over as head coach in 1999, Seattle has a 6-2 record in Sunday night games. All-time Seattle is 14-8.
Last Sunday against the N.Y. Giants, Seattle opened up a 35-3 halftime lead over the Giants before closing out a 42-30 victory at Qwest Field. The win runs their streak to 12 consecutive home wins. Meanwhile, Chicago used a Rex Grossman 24-yard touchdown pass to Rashied Davis right after the two-minute warning to rally the Bears to a 19-16 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
This will be the ninth time the Seahawks and Bears have matched up against one another, with Seattle holding a 6-2 edge. Seattle is 3-1 at home and 3-1 in the Windy City. The Seahawks have won the last two games played in the series: at Qwest Field 24-17 on October 19, 2003, and the last game played in Chicago, a 14-13 win on September 19, 1999.
After dropping a 34-7 decision in Seattle’s inaugural season on December 5, the Seahawks rattled off four victories from 1978-1987. Chicago ended that streak on September 9, 1990, with a 17-0 Bears shutout victory.
For Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren, it will be his 16th time playing against the Bears, and his third with the Seahawks. Holmgren is 2-0 versus Chicago since joining Seattle in 1999, and was 12-2 from 1992-98 while head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
