I love my job because I don't care if I get paid or not (although I do get paid decent). Giving is truly receiving where I work and that is reward enough. I also work on Sundays.

I love my job because I don't have one. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I quit my job because the upper management sucked. Sort of. I guess it kinda trickled down. Miss working with the guys though.

I quit my job because of an uncaring employer, relentless cultural pressure, an impenetrable language barrier, almost complete isolation, low salary and a whole bunch of other circumstances that it made it impossible to do a good job, let alone enjoy it.

Where would this be? Iwata, which is just east of Hamamatsu. I don't feel like mentioning the name of the company I worked for, but it is one of the biggest ALT agencies in the country. I know it's kind of ironic that you started this thread to celebrate the same job I just quit in anger, but please don't feel offended because of that. I know that lots of people love it and do it for years. It just wasn't my cup of tea. .

Those companies treat thier employees like crap. The best way to do it is though connections, I worked at a mom and pop place, and they let me pick and choose a little better. Or working for the city directly (Fukuoka/Nagasaki prefectures are very generous.) Ganbatte ne! (がんばってね!) 'A pillow covered in all our tears'
