i have had both, and i still have my one cat left - man i miss my olivia - now i have the two dogs as well. i think dogs are more into you personally than cats, even though my cat cody is the most loving cat i think i've ever seen, he still wants to be loved on his schedual, whereas the dogs are always ready for attention
