Do u ever completely get over ur first love? Yeah, yeah, iam pathetic. Iam only 19 and yet I just had a dream last night and my first true girlfriend was in it.....I was only about 10 years old but it took ages to get her and when I was 12, after 2 years I left USA for England and never saw her again. We briefly kept in touch through letters but both decided it was too hard on us so we called it quits.
I have a girl at the mo', but thinking about ur first true love does get u thinking doesn't it? Am I the only 1 not to have not of completely gotten over a girl I havn't even seen in over 7 years? I wonder where she is now? The past really does suck sometimes.....I knkow I'll never even see her again. It would be nice too.....

I think our first loves will always be in the back of our minds... But sometimes you really can't go back, and the grass is not always greener on the other side..blah blah blah...But enough with the old sayings I think it's normal to think about your first love, now acting on those feelings is another story. If you really care about this girl you are with now, keep the thoughts in check. But who the fuck am I to say anything [Edited 1/18/05 12:03pm]

When I was 17 I met my first love. We had a relationship of 10 months.
Now I'm 39 and when I think about him I stil get sad.. I still love him! He's now married with 3 children. But hey..he's happy! I'm still looking for Mister Right! (the second one ) The Borg... Partypoopers of the galaxy.. ( Medical Hologram )

We never made love, yet I get nervous just thinking about her.....u know goosebumps. I admit it is not often I think about her, but I still do all the same. U know I even do that "american tail" cartoon thing and look at the sky and wonder where she is occasionally? That stupid song "somewhere, out there" gets to me too. it is mad that I do not know where she is, if she still thinks about me etc.....

Nope. She's over in Sweden and I haven't seen her in 11 years, but I think of her at least once per week.
I dedicated the Moody Blues "In Your Wildest Dreams" to her on a radio station a few years ago...

I think you are probably more curious as to what's happened to her and presently that thought is prevailing. I think if you actually saw each other again that spark would probably be gone and replaced by apprehension of seeing her and vice versa. Christian Zombie Vampires

Maybe I relate this girl (faye) as to a period of time that was so great 4 me? Yet who knows? "Love cuts just like a knife"- (Jane child "I don't wanna fall in love")

i think the answer is perhaps ... but ... mostly NO ...
its mostly NO because usually your "first love" is someone who u really felt strongly about ... but cannot have .... NOW ... so u remember the good times ... and u ... maybe ... never had BAD TIMES .... at least that is the case with me .... i recently ... was surprised to find out my "first love" moved back into the area ... i thought she was in NC ... thousands of miles away .... and she moved back here about 2 yrs ago !!! ... i was floored (her pic was in the local paper ... and then i found it on the net ... ) i must say ... its kinda neat to see that she did well ... with her life ... etc ...

Seems kinda sad all this. I thought I would never bother thinking of my first love again. It ain't serious depression or anything, but u know u get thinking sometimes etc.....
