Prince used to be so ahead of the times, remember the interactive game and NPGMC, longest ever run at the O2.

Prince should be the first musician to create an interactive iPad app or even release his next record through the iPad & iPhone. I hope he reads this and gets going

I love all my Apple products, but aren't iPhone and iPad apps the same thing?

Also, I doubt Prince will do this. Apps are generally free, or very low-cost, and it doesn't look like that's the sort of thing he's interested in.

But we can wish!

He can't link to an online store because he refuses to even acknowledge his back catalog as a whole because he's a curmudgeonly old Jehovah's Witness.

He can't link to a News or Blog section because people would take that and exploit him because he really has nothing valuable to say anymore.

He can't link to a regular website because he goes through website URLs like he goes through women.

And you think he's going to care enough to actually update the app when it needs it, or has a bug??? BBBWWWHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!

As a side note, Wendy & Lisa have an app for iPhone and iPod Touch that does all the things I listed, & more. Whether you NEED an W&L app or not, the fact is they've taken a step to offer fans something free to keep a line of communication and whatnot open.

here is my app idea. Shaker! you put a few songs in a list and give it a shake and it mixes the songs up. the more you shake the more they are mixed. (meaning they are inter cut together randomly).

It would be like Mongolian grill the quality of the mix will depend on song selection and how much you shake.

and the ipad's such a novelty rip off

Next topic: Prince should release a Nintendo DS game.

It's interesting that people are poo pooing the iPad. While I'm not sure I could benefit from one, shows like Star Trek and Star Wars have long had hand held pads a la iPod Touch, and iPad. We're moving into the future we make fun of on TV.

I'm not sure they'll ever replace the standard keyboard though. Not unless it's just a universal system that allows you to type quickly by pushing just a few buttons. The art of typing might be lost over time. That is a few generations away.
