And we can assume the video was completed recently, too, as footage immerged of her filming something, but the music was not being played out loud as to hide the song from being leaked.

I think the timing should be about right. That gives people about a week and a half to get familiar with the new song before she performs it live for the Global Citizen Festival. Maybe they'll release the video on the 17th too.

Hopefully this will eliminate that awkward silence or non-reaction when an artist performs a brand new track for the first time and everyone's looking around thinking, "I don't know that song." And instead of enjoying it, people are trying to figure out if they heard it before, which album did it come from, if they like it, etc.

Love, love love the jacket!!! I wonder how it will sound and fare. Will it be seen as a daddy yankee song featuring janet or the other way around? I think it's a smart move cause she still has her veteran fans for the touring, but this is catered to the airwaves and party crowd it seems. The outfits are sweet too, it would be nice to see her have a worldwide hit but I don't know how realistic the thinking is cause it seems like her prime fans are still in north america and worldwide she is known for her family matters; this song will be and should be a refreshing one, watching her do well after her struggles. Jackson has partnered with indie distributor, label and publisher Cinq Music for a recording and distribution agreement through her own label, Rhythm Nation Records.
