I'm gonna try to fill in some names. Maybe others can help. Donna Summer, Katherine Jackson, ?, ?, Janet, Rene (in the back), Paula Abdul, LaToya, possibly Downtown Julie Brown (because she was married to a white guy for a long time I thought) The woman in the orange dress is one of the dancers you'd see a lot in the '80s. She was in Janet's "What Have You Done For Me Lately" video. And I think she's in "When I Think Of You" as well...getting out the cab in the beginning wearing bluish/purple pants and tank top and later dancing next to Janet in a purple dress. I don't know her name.

She shot the video in Brooklyn when she had shows in the area. Also Daddy Yankee is a huge reggaeton artist. Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

I think the timing should be about right. That gives people about a week and a half to get familiar with the new song before she performs it live for the Global Citizen Festival. Maybe they'll release the video on the 17th too. - Hopefully this will eliminate that awkward silence or non-reaction when an artist performs a brand new track for the first time and everyone's looking around thinking, "I don't know that song." And instead of enjoying it, people are trying to figure out if they heard it before, which album did it come from, if they like it, etc.

The only worry is this seems to be the Mariah-like way of putting out new music, get the guy that is on everyone’s track singing hooks. Obviously daddy yankee similar to Pitbull but less commercial has been on tons of tracks, to the point where he is almost “not in” anymore and almost old news. If she was going to go with a Latin artist, better choice would have been a female and that would be Natti Natasha who is huge bigger than he is and she is more current to which obviously that is what Janet wants, to be current. But who knows . "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

It was number one in the United States for 16 weeks, tying Mariah's One Sweet Day for most weeks. He's really popular on the Latin music charts, not so much Top 40.

Love, love love the jacket!!! I wonder how it will sound and fare. Will it be seen as a daddy yankee song featuring janet or the other way around? I think it's a smart move cause she still has her veteran fans for the touring, but this is catered to the airwaves and party crowd it seems. The outfits are sweet too, it would be nice to see her have a worldwide hit but I don't know how realistic the thinking is cause it seems like her prime fans are still in north america and worldwide she is known for her family matters; this song will be and should be a refreshing one, watching her do well after her struggles. I would hope.
I didn't go to SOTW but I believe it's her best setlist in years and love how she's still doing her thing [Edited 8/15/18 11:18am]

When Janet Jackson’s "Made For Now" music video, featuring Daddy Yankee, premieres at midnight, it will also mark her debut with a new label. Jackson has partnered with indie distributor, label and publisher Cinq Music for a recording and distribution agreement through her own label, Rhythm Nation Records.

Another interesting bit in the article: Jackson will be releasing additional songs and videos through the year and will appear with Yankee on MTV’s TRAL AM Friday morning to discuss the project.
