Yeah. So am I. Who is her distributor?

Information directly from iTunes reads:
"2018 Rhythm Nation, under exclusive license to Cinq Music Group, LLC"

Variety has a good article about Cinq.

Good looking out Cinny! I'll check it out.

The song is incredible. If there was no hope for charting high, I think this song has defied those barriers. I don't see why many won't respond well to this though it would be mainly for daddy yankee today since younger crowd is more familiar and Despacito became a massive hit . Janet is a legend with nothing to prove and her longeivity is incredible, so it will introduce her to younger audiences, entertain long time fans for sure, which I think will be good for future new music from her.

The only worry is this seems to be the Mariah-like way of putting out new music, get the guy that is on everyone’s track singing hooks. Obviously daddy yankee similar to Pitbull but less commercial has been on tons of tracks, to the point where he is almost “not in” anymore and almost old news. If she was going to go with a Latin artist, better choice would have been a female and that would be Natti Natasha who is huge bigger than he is and she is more current to which obviously that is what Janet wants, to be current. But who knows .

I thought the same thing about Daddy Yuckee being the new Pitbull! If she is going to have some guest in that genre on her song, she could've at least called Maluma. He is drop dead fine. Holler.

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

Harmony Samuels Talks Producing Janet Jackson's New Single 'Made for Now' & Her Upcoming EP: 'She's Still Got It“

With showstopping headlining performances at festivals all summer, including Panorama Music Festival and Essence Music Festival, it felt only natural that Janet Jackson would soon return with new music. Less than a week after closing out San Francisco's Outside Lands on Aug. 13, the iconic entertainer made a triumphant return with the Latin crossover single "Made for Now" with Daddy Yankee, marking the first time since 2015's "No Sleeep" that she's dropped a music video in conjunction with a track release

Now, with the single and video arriving on the heels of her festival run, the 52-year-old is prepping an upcoming EP that includes "Made for Now" and what Samuels describes as songs that call back to her Velvet Rope and Control eras. In the wake of "Made for Now," he breaks down how he got the gig with Jackson and why he thinks it could put her back in the pop crosshairs.

To those on this VERY site that threw Janet under the bus for postponing her Unbreakable tour to have a baby. She has now finished and made up her tour dates.
JUST LIKE SHE SAID SHE WOULD!

It's definitely janet vibes with perfect blend of multiculturalism, I definitely see the velvet rope influence and a bit of escapade

I wonder if the EP will be a bunch of dancefloor and/or reggaeton flavoured tracks, she will be a hit for sure again on the dance charts

The song also reminds me of "All For You", you can almost sing the chorus along with it.

I was talking to a friend about it this morning. Visually it reminds me of "Escapade" and "Got 'Til It's Gone", with the street community flair of "Alright" and "When I Think Of You", spiced with the international flavor of "Runaway".

Funny you mentioned all of those videos first but my spouse and I were recalling "Together Again" first. It definitely reminds me more of "Runaway" now that you said that. smile

Janet Jackson to receive award at Black Girls Rock awards!

Janet Jackson will receive the rock star award at the 2018 Black Girls Rock awards.

The Grammy winner will be honored as a "phenomenal woman in music," organizers said Thursday. Jackson recently released "Made For Now," her single with Daddy Yankee.

Queen Latifah will host the show, which will be taped Sunday at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. BET Networks will air the special celebrating the accomplishments of black women on Sept. 9.

Not in Europe she hasn't.

She repeatedly throws her European fans under the bus. They probably didn't reschedule because many fans have had enough. Her European fans have been burned one too many times, I think she would struggle to sell out a decent sized venue here in the UK. A large theatre perhaps, but she can forget about arenas after her last cancellation.

He went after her with a vengeance. The rumor is now that he's in talks with CBS for him to exit the company. I wonder if they'll try to get back at him in some way by canceling The Talk, or Julie Chen herself.

CBS chief executive was reportedly fixated on “ruining” Janet Jackson’s career after Super Bowl

It's no big secret that Janet Jackson's career suffered tremendously after Justin Timberlake tore off her bustier at the Super Bowl in 2004. But a new report describes Les Moonves, the chief executive of CBS, as playing a particularly vengeful role in the fallout. The Huffington Post's Yashar Ali describes Moonves as "obsessed" with damaging Jackson's career after interpreting the wardrobe malfunction to be a publicity stunt.

Moonves banned both Jackson and Timberlake from the 2004 Grammys, which aired on CBS that year, but eventually allowed Timberlake to perform after an emotional apology. Jackson, he perceived, was not "sufficiently repentant," and he insisted that all Viacom properties (including MTV, VH1 and countless radio stations) stop playing her music.

The report goes on to describe Moonves's reaction upon learning Jackson signed a book deal with Viacom-owned Simon & Schuster in 2011: "how the fuck did she slip through?” Moonves is currently on the outs at CBS following an extensive report by the New Yorker exposing multiple allegations of sexual harrassment against the executive. Jackson recently dropped her first single in years, "Made For Now."

I guess karma reared its ugly head. He is getting what he deserves. Smh

It's not necessarily. It is certainly a cute behind the scenes sort of video. Even the Billboard award performance rehearsal in a dance studio was posted shortly after the show. I like that's even more open w/ stuff like this.
