He is most definately going for that 90s R'n'B vibe with sprinkles of Prince and MJ thrown in.

Hey sis! Wow! I'm having the same problem now too--it's not playing! Weird because it was up and accessible on this site hours ago. Bruno really took it back to 1989 with this one. Its nice! biggrin His record label must have issued cease and desists because the song was available to listen to on the link that Shawy posted and other sites but now you cant hear anything when you click play. However, I do see that the song has been uploaded for download on several sites already. Smh lol. The track will debut on Itunes and Spotify at midnight. Spotify already has it up--but it isnt playable yet wink

EDIT: You can still listen to it here: http://www.thecoli.com/th...or.479221/

Bruno's singing cry I hear him channeling Michael in his voice and trying to go to church in the intro. This was me in the beginning

I had to re group

Bruno take me from the depths of this place and back into the late 80s and 90s.

And then with his sexy voice he sang "lets kiss till we naked"

Chile

Yes, for the trillionth time, Bruno Mars has stolen yet again old music. This time, it's 90s R&B a la Byoz II Men, Janet, Babyface... Should be out on US iTunes / Spotify in hours. To hear this blatantly produced rip-off, here's the link. Warning: The lyrics on this one are BEYOND cheesy, like, this makes Grenade sound like Bohemian Rhapsody. http://www.thecoli.com/th...or.479221/

The keyboard solo at the 3-minute mark sounds a lot like the keyboards near the end of "Human Nature".

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Oh yeah, it was also mixed with a guitar solo (The effect they used is probably that of a Korg synthesizer)

Overall, sonically, this song is pure 90s. Bruno usually does a twist like those electronic crescendos or some infectious drum patterns. But whatever, this is the jam wink

He really is. I am glad we have an artist like him in this generation. I love all the singles so far from this album. I wonder what the concept of the video will be.

It's interesting to see how the people here love this song and people on another music forum don't like it.

It's the 90s vibe that really makes or breaks this song.

Personally, I like the song because of how Babyface it sounds. Very sensual. Sensuality is kinda rare in pop music today.

I also wanna add that I'm really looking forward to his album coming out. The singles so far sound amazing. Unorthodox Jukebox was the bomb in 2012.

I have liked his past 2 songs! fun and lite funk i can dig too. I hate his ballads they're cancer to my ears. But i think i am kind of digging these more funk and r&b tracks.

BTW that ''omg so un-original'' comment is un original lol Bruno isn't a guy to sing about the patriarchy or do a ground breaking ''sound'' he's rooted in funk, rock, and r&b. I used to hate him and he's by no means my favorite. But he sometimes makes fun music and that's ok.

The same org fucks who complain about how unoriginal a new funk song is. Will listen to a 12 minute remix of ''yeah dance get off that ass dance yeah get off and dance dance do do dance yeah man dance yeah yeah''
Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener
