Dont pay that font any mind. They listen to trashy music over Bruno Mars.

If you still feel some type away about that Beyoncé thread if it's any consolation I don't listen to her music I was just saying she's talented and seems to be taking more risk as an artist and I respect that and her work ethic. Your total dismissive attitude of anything her just seemed unreasonable and ridiculous.

No I find your two face hyprocritical posts comical and you did not just call her talented, you praised her for her music and you oddly go around trashing Bruno Mars (who makes much better music than her) that is why I told that poster to ignore your foolishness because that is what it is at this point. Don't back track now to save face. You don't have to lie about not listening to her music when you made it clear that you did in the other thread. Like I said, I don't take not a word you say seriously. Continue trashing more talented artists, who work hard in their artistry over artists who don't, I stand by that. There is nothing irrational about anything I said, you are clearly a stan. I see you stanning for her in multiple threads.

For the ones that dislike Bruno Mars, (who don't listen to trashy music) can you please explain why you don't like him? He is the best that we are going to get in terms of pop music for this generation and yes while that it is not saying much, we at least have to acknowledge some good things he is exposing to the youngins. At least give him credit for trying to bring old sounds back into the mainstream. I much rather have him playing on my radio over anybody else on the radio right now.

You can believe what you want and I'm sure you will as your clearly a lunatic. But I never trashed Bruno I believe Bruno is talented too but he repackages old sounds and he's been doing that since unorthodox jukebox and it seems that, that's gonna become his entire career a revivalist of old sounds and I believe he can do more. As for Beyoncé I don't listen to her music or anyone current really except Kendrick Lamar. I just came across her newest album and I was pleasantly surprised she was taking risk.

I definitly agree that Bruno Mars is not innovative or original. However, can you see that his music is a notch above the trap crap playing on the radio at least? I like him because he is not following trends and he is trying to bring old sounds back into today's era. I give him credit for that because IMO it is needed.

I am not talking about in this thread specifically. You have criticized Bruno's music in multiple threads and praised Beyonce music in other threads which is why I don't take any of your music opinions seriously. NOW you want to backtrack and say you like Bruno.....and that you don't listen to Beyonce, when in the other thread your were stanning hard for her new music LOL! But you got the nerve to call me the lunatic for calling that fake bullshit out??? You are a fraud, I can't stand fake posers who switch up their opinions from thread to thread.

I think your confusing criticism with dislike for an artist. I remember saying Bruno Lenny kravitz lady Gaga are talented but their music is derivative and sounds like free licensed music of what it was inspired by and I stand by that comment. I was only defending Beyoncé in the other threads because you were writing college essays about why she's overrated trash and I was like she's not all that bad so I defended her. I would defend. Bruno and critique Beyoncé if I felt it necessary. So I'm not backtracking I hope we have some clarity now.

Bruno reminds me of lenny kravitz obviously they have great respect for people who came before them. But they come off as cheap derivative knockoffs of the things they were inspired by. Their music sounds like free licensed parodies of funk and rock. They have like no real sense of self or their very basic.

Here are other things you have said about Beyonce that have been questionable. You defending Beyonce taking the spotlight away from Ledisi and singing her song.

Hey shes the bigger star and used her clout to get what she wanted Im not saying its right or wrong its just business. Was it ok for prince to take the times name or mj to buy the beatles catlog from under his new friend paul? Ledsi will be alright it wouldnt have made any difference whether she sang the song or not she wouldve went straight back to obscurity either way.

Then jusifying it with implying that she would never become popular anyway.

You also even delusionally argued that Beyonce was more hard working than Michael and even PRINCE which shocked the hell out of me and was the nail in the coffin for why I don't dont take not a damn thing you say seriously even MotownSubdivision had to correct you.

Thats one thing about her thats super impressive I bet she would out work prince mj and james brown. She has crazy work ethic. Admirable trait.

That is why I said, I GET IT you are clearly a stan and someone who likes Beyonce BUT PLEASE PLEASE don't turn around and tell bold face lies and backtrack with false tales that you are not when I continue to postposts that shows that you are. Its phony and this largely why I come at you aggressively because you do this in every thread. You come off so pretentious but then switch up your opinions from thread to thread when your called out. Its laughable that you find a woman who doesn't write NO music, plays NO instrument, creates NOTHING in her music and rips off other artists and entertainers, is not creative NOR original, its interesting you find her more hardworking that Michael and Prince. Her music and performances are trash, forgettable and nothing original in comparision.

How is that backtracking my quote was pretty much identical to what I just said. Do you know the definition of backtracking? As far as Beyoncé I do believe that her work ethic is equivalent if not greater than prince or mj. You can call that crazy. But it is what it is I'm aware of how hard both prince and mj worked but just because their legacy status is cemented doesn't mean their untouchable in any way. Its like if I said Kanye west wrote a song better than one of the Beatles songs people would freak out and say no way the Beatles are untouchable etc. Point is she puts in work and has crazy work ethic. I know you disagree.

You never called Bruno talented at all in that post and you even insisted that his music was basic and he had no real sense of his self YET, in this thread you called him talented and backtracked on what you said about his music previously. You are weak and a liar. You said you didn't listen to Beyonces music when that is clearly a lie and that you weren't a fan when that is also a lie, there OTHER posts that I did not post in which you are stanning for her and in wich you criticize Bruno's music that I can not find at this current moment. The fact that you prop her higher than Prince and Michael in terms of work ethic lets me know you know nothing about artistry or real music so there is no point in going back in forth anymore.

BUT Like I said and I say it PROUDLY, I don't take any of your music opinions seriously AT ALL and therefore, don't prefer to debate with you. You backtrack and don't stand by your opinions and know nothing about the history of music or artistry because you listen to trash. I am done with debating back with you and this time I mean it. Once again your confusing backtracking with criticism. I do think all that stuff about Bruno's music but I do believe he is talented. I feel the same way about lady Gaga and Lenny kravitz. Your problem is you assume to know things when in actuality you are ignorant. Before coming to your own conclusions based on a couple of comments you could ask me why I say the things I say. Instead of jumping right to conclusions. Your an mj fan right I would think you of all people would understand this.

I kind of covered it in my previous post on this thread but the reason I don't like Bruno Mars has nothing to do with him being unoriginal or whatever. Like I said, there's nobody original in the charts anymore and besides, originality doesn't necessarily equate to good. I just don't like any of his songs. I've heard all his singles and I don't like them. Uptown Funk is kind of catchy but it's just not my thing. I wouldn't rule out ever liking anything he does in the future, that would be just silly, but so far, I'm not impressed. I will say that I think he's better than most of his contemporaries though. I wouldn't say he's terrible or anything.

Thanks, this is a very fair and rational assessment. I understand what others have argued about Bruno not being original which I agree but I like that he tries to bring old sounds back into this era and he doesn't seem to follow pop trends which I respect, thanks again.

Outside, of your stupid ass music opinions, you are beyond disrespectful and don't know how to maturely express yourself in a appropiate manner.

I can see talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. I'm stating clearly my opinions and saying if you have problems or questions with my assertions ask me. And your like no that's not what you were trying to say this is what you really meant. Well god bless the fool for a reason I guess. Good day.

Yes and God is truly blessing you, THE FOOL, and clearly reading comprehension isn't your best suit. You came in here claiming you did not say certain things, when in fact you did and got called out. There is no misunderstanding on my part, now you have a blessed day, take this L and don't respond to me.

Nothing really original on that album.Sure, it kinda has that 90's R&B sound, but in a "it's a trend now" mainstreaming way.Just as Uptown Funk was just a mainstreamed version of the Minneapolis Sound. The overuse of Autotune compression kills it for me anyway. It's a Lite version of what it could have been if there was a true artistic vision behind it.This is just done because 90s R&B is gonna be the next trend and to mainstream it down to a Lite version is what you do as a mainstream artist.

This is somewhat true; remember that Bruno is one of the pioneers of this retro movement in pop music. You can't say someone is hopping on a trend that they (helped) set themselves.

You really think that's where mainstream music is going? To me everything's either trap music or has that island sound.

Top 40 is filled with tropical/dancehall/EDM songs. None of them will ever be remembered years from now.

Otherwise the critics LOVE alt R&B / jazz hip hop / dream pop / dark electronic albums, on the other hand they hate pop records and they absolutely despise albums that are all over the place.

So there you go, Bruno is probably the only mainstream musician who does throwback funk music and doesn't stick to those trends.

I don't listen to the radio.....so I really can't relate.

I lump him in with the rest of the no talnts on Billboard these days.

Weak funk is doing a disservice to the REAL thing.

So what is playing on the Billboards these days? How would you rank the current artists out now compared to Bruno?

I respect that your opinions are consistent and your stand by them regardless of what others think!

There is plenty of good music floating around.....but billboard certainly ins't the place to find it.

I'm hoping at some point that Bruno hits me over the head with a good song. So far.....not yet.

Never been much of a Bruno fan. I never disliked him but never heard anything from him that caught my attention. But i have to admit im digging the 80s r&b vibe im hearing on the album. Which is refreshing to me because i was going to purchase Joe's new cd until i heard it. He's abandoned r&b and has adopted that euro pop sound that i absolutely hate! Big disappointment for me since i dug his last two albums so much.bruno is carrying the torch now.

I'm sorry, but this kid is FIYAH and I love that about him because he is just so much damn fun! biggrin I personally like the way he pays homage to his influences, while sprinkling his own Bruno pepper in the mix.

Btw, like him or not, he IS a solid, authentic, bona-fide musician. He has a good voice and is an excellent dancer. The choreography of his performances is peerless.

I've said it before. It's not that he's doing anything ground breaking but I do appreciate him saving the world from the agony of mid-tempo hell. lol

He said it himself just now on Sixty Minutes when asked about his influences. It's the whole idea behind what he does.

I will be seeing him live if I can get tickets. Here he is opening tonight's AMA show......
