FUNKYNESS

Should Madonna just sit her badly aged ass down at this point?

First she makes a mockery of a tribute to the single greatest musical artist of all time while completely embarrassing herself - and then she reposts a 13 year old pic of her slobbing down equally worthless Brtittany SPears to pimp the Orlando shooting pity party? eek

Yes she should. She is a washed up old lady and should retire. She is rediculously embarrassing.

I ain't a fan but her age shouldn't be a factor. Plenty of male 'artists' her age & older are still going strong.

co-sign. she has lost her way now that she has been on the mountain top for 30+ years. her behavior in the last 10 years had made it clear that she has no grace or self-awareness. that's a very bad look. much more similar to MJ and his peter pan crap than she was to p who seemed to be settleling into the elder statesman role. madonna does herslf a great disservice carrying on the way she does. sad. confused

Can't lie, I never liked her. When I was a kid my best friend/neighbour was a fan 4 maybe 2 yrs. She had massive posters of her, that I had 2 look at every day. The day she told me she no longer liked her & was taking them down, I got 2 rip 5ft posters in half. Very satisfying experience lol
Still, i ain't feeling the ageism or the double standard. Even when it comes 2 her.

I think you can do anything at any age so that's not the issue. My issue with Madonna is that she doesn't seem to be getting better with age, but worse. It's up to her whether she continues on or not but she just doesn't seem to be doing it gracefully and so she's tarnishing her legacy a bit, imo.

Madonna could care less what people say about her, she'll continue to do what she wants to do.

Yes. Just retire already please. I like the unreleased rebel heart track but it's her first album I didn't care to buy. She's the poster child for attention whore and has no shame in making racist comments. Needs to look at the fact she has black children that'll have to answer for their moms immature behaviour, and poor rocco. I don't agree with kids treating their mom that way but I feel for the poor kid

Having said that, she's 1/3 of the 80s biggest left and I think she should settle down and stop making an ass out of herself and get a life outside of this industry. She's filthy rich now, what's left?

She's way to stubborn and vain to do it, but I sincerely wish she would. It just gets more and more embarrassing as it goes on. At one point I really liked her. It just makes me cringe to see her perform these days. I think maybe she doesn't know what to do with herself but continue on.

Change it one more time..

No. She shouldn't sit down. Madonna can out perform any of these so-called pop stars of today. She still makes great music and puts on one helluva live show. Has anybody asked Mick Jagger to sit down somewhere? Hell no.

Last year,Madonna released one of her strongest albums,Rebel Heart and had yet another hugely successful tour. Why should she retire? She's still having success and making lots of money. The Rolling Stones are older than she is,and nobody ever tells them that they should retire.Let her continue doing her thing for as long as she likes.

That would be nice. She seems passionate about film making and always has great soundtrack music.

I agree the age thing is always used with women, a lot of people comment on the stones being too old to perform. A lot of people said mccartney should stop too because he is getting too old. Not only women get critisized because of their age

She can perform as long as she wants. There is no retirement age in the music business.

I'm not a fan however.

She has done more for the gay community than any artist alive. She posted several same sex picts on her account because, at the time of the shooting, people thought it was because of a same sex kiss. She was speaking about gay rights at a time when gay people were considered to be as bad as ISIS. It's disgusting that clueless millennials think they can tarnish contributions made with one tweet or hashtag. Madge will always be Queen. Oh and forget the Prince tribute. Her performance of Borderline on Fallon was borderline amazing.

This question is only relevant if you were a fan of her body and looks. And I am guessing if you were old enough to remember the "Boy Toy" then you're probably getting up there in age yourself.

I must say I agree this comment. Should we all just roll over and die once we hit 40? What the fuck?? Why should she stop? Because she's older than 40? I personally still love her music. I think she should stop when she's ready and not because she's above a certain age.
