This question is only relevant if you were a fan of her body and looks. And I am guessing if you were old enough to remember the "Boy Toy" then you're probably getting up there in age yourself.

I must say I agree this comment. Should we all just roll over and die once we hit 40? What the fuck?? Why should she stop? Because she's older than 40? I personally still love her music. I think she should stop when she's ready and not because she's above a certain age.

Has nothing to do with her age. She's really turning me off with her ignorance these days

It just seems like she gets picked on a lot for being older. She certainly isn't the oldest artist out there performing. Now what she does, as far as tweets go, I suppose that's different but I think she's just being controversial as usual. She likes to push ppeople's buttons, for better or worse.

Pretty much. confused Madonna's always been a target...but these days it is focused on her age. And that speaks to the ageism, especially against women, running rampant in this society. Even Janet Jackson, who just turned 50, is a target for ageism. I swear it is worse than in the 80s... No one said Tina Turner was over when she got older...

They been calling her old since she was late 20's. Whats old is telling Madonna she's too old.

There is sexism and some projection happening here.

if you happen to think you're too old then you can go sit down. just don't project your mess and issues on to others.

Im more concerned she supported Margaret Thatcher than anything really.

This is a very weird thread....I saw Madonna on Fallon and she sound Good, looked Gorgeous and she's in AMAZING shape...I was shocked to see her drop-it all the way to the floor...LOL...You can be the richest or poorest person in the world but you HAVE to eat right and exercise to look & move like that well into your late 50's...It's not Madge's fault that singers half her age are over-weight and struggle to sing Live...

Madonna has always kept her body in shape. I wonder how she can still do those dance moves wearing high heels in live concert. It's because she trained as a dancer in her youth and has always maintained a strict workout regime... THAT's why she can still do it. She may not always hit a compatible chord with the public, but like Prince, she's a perfectionist and a workaholic, not giving a damn what anyone thinks. That, I respect her for, whatever her faults.

No she should not?

Why should she?

I love Madonna's "I dont give a fuc attitude"

She does her and lives her life and career the way she wants.

You dont become the greatest female pop star of all time being stupid.

I like that she is real and not fake.

^ along with your questionable opinions and double standards when it comes to certain artists over others. Madonna is the same attention whore she was over 30 years ago. At least she never makes excuses for it or trying to front like she is so above it all like some other pop stars who do the same shit.

Madonna couldn't sing, dance or compose at 25. So who cares if she still can't do it at 57? Let her continue.

I think she should keep on GOIN'! She's SUCH a powerful woman, a positive role model 4 SO MANY and who cares how old she is???? We're ALL gonna be "old" one day, so unless WE hope 2b victims of ageism (publically, in the workplace, etc...), then we might perhaps grasp our OWN mortality and through it accomplish what Madonna HAS accomplished and conTINUES 2 accomplish. She's an intensely hard worker and she never gave up. THAT = one KICKASS lady! I personally would like her to pay closer attention 2 what she issues as singles tho from "new" projects. The "Rebel Heart" singles seemed not 2b the BEST choices and not in the best order. Comeback-wise, "Bitch, I'm Madonna" should have been first, "Best Night," second and "Living For Love," third. LOVE her and wish her the best ALWAYS! smile p.s. Age ain't NUTHIN' but a # and society owes a LOT 2 her. She's a definite TRAILblazer for woman, for men, for huMANITY. <3

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I personally like Madonna's music. I like it in the same way I like white Michael's music: i love listening to it, but I recognize it's pop-radio fabrication.

Madonna is a mediocre talent. She can't sing, she can't dance, she can't play an instrument at a minimally professional level and she'd be lost in a studio if alone. But she had what Michael, for example, never had: a IQ above 20. She is very smart and that's the reason she became what she became. Madonna managed to stay relevant after all those years. I enjoy her music and she keeps on giving. I give her credit for that.

Interesting that she picked an Austrailian show this time around. Maybe to make up in part for the fact she hadn't toured there in so long. lol The MDNA DVD was from a Miami show, I think.

And how many artists write songs all by themselves without co-writers and other members of bands they are in?

If that's your standard for being talented as a songwriter, then I think you should apply that same standard to male artists and songwriters. Can Simon Le Bon write a song by himself without the other members of Duran Duran? But of course no one ever asks that, do they?

But of course it's something that is always used to denigrate the talent of female artists.

Co-sign to this. Compare with her ex-boyfriend's born-again Christian thing and his opiate addiction/fatal overdose (and what a lot of other male white rock stars used to do/still do), at least Maddy's okay, and hasn't got any problems, health wise. Also, I'll bet that her tribute to Prince was good.
