Good choice of venue for a residency. So glad she didn't look to cash in and do the 02. Plenty of notice for non uk fans too. Plus plenty of dates up front to avoid rush. That's nearly 70k tickets up front. She's got balls.

Looking forward to this.

That photo is definitely going to get people wondering isn't it!

Getting a ticket is going to stress me out, such a small venue for what is going to be extreme demand. The requirement for ID means there are going to be alot of very disappointed people who can't even pay over the odds if they wanted to. Those tickets would have gone for huge prices.

She has a fear of flying, she doesn't like the notion of not having total control dueing a live performance and her lighting director died in an accident in her first tour. That really affected her for some reason.

Wow, so that story Big Boi said is true. That she's pretty much a recluse in a large awesome castle lol

I think touring is important. But if you can make classic albums, have a lot of money, and not tour. More power too ya. She did write and producer her own stuff. So she probably got some good money out of it.

She has to be like really neurotic not to tour. Her fans would pay extreme amounts to have seen her through out the years. Seriously this concert is gonna be insane.

Truly incredible news.

Honestly, I thought that a live Kate comeback was as unlikely as a gig at the lost city of Atlantis by David Bowie, backed by Pete Green and Richey Manic on guitar, Sly Stone on drums and John Deacon on bass, with Lord Lucan as compere!

Now that it looks like it is really happening, I'll be joining the rest of the world next Friday morning in frantically hitting F5 on Ticketmaster. Perhaps the bonkers, brilliant Ms Bush will grace us with more dates.

And the photo ID requirement might just keep tickets out of the hands of organised vultures like Seatwave and Stubhub...

Plus when music videos became big, she figured that would be a good way to make up for not performing live.
Does anyone know how much tickets are going to cost? Haven't made up my mind yet if I'd want to cross the North Sea for it.

This has just been posted on her website.

A message from Kate...

Hallo everyone,

I was working all day yesterday and so was totally unaware of the reaction, apart from friends who'd told me it had all gone bonkers....I am completely overwhelmed and genuinely shocked by the incredibly positive response from everyone. Thank you!

I am however rather concerned at some comments that have been passed on to me and I feel I should clarify my position.... The image that was chosen to advertise the shows originates from a conceptual piece called The Ninth Wave that was released in 1985. It is about a woman who is lost at sea but is rescued in the end. Months ago I thought that, as part of the show centres around this musical piece, it would hopefully make a dramatic shot. The timing is really unfortunate. There is absolutely no connection with the current tragedy that is heading the news and I apologise from the bottom of my heart if this has in any way upset or at all offended anyone.

Thank you again to everyone who has responded so warmly to the announcement of the shows.
With best wishes,
Kate
