She has a fear of flying, she doesn't like the notion of not having total control dueing a live performance and her lighting director died in an accident in her first tour. That really affected her for some reason.

Wow, so that story Big Boi said is true. That she's pretty much a recluse in a large awesome castle lol

I think touring is important. But if you can make classic albums, have a lot of money, and not tour. More power too ya. She did write and producer her own stuff. So she probably got some good money out of it.

Im probably in the minority for this. But i feel that sometimes just adding an relevant voice in this thing we call art and entertainment should surpass monetary gratification. Sure she hasn't toured but her expression has had a long lasting affect from 1970's to now. She is still relevant today because of sheer talent, a unique way of expressing her opinions and her soul via the music. I mean you have groups and singers that do tour but what do they add to grand scheme of things? Nothing. so you can keep your Kanye's, Your Xtinas, Your Minaj's, Your Metallica, Your Taylor Swift. cause in a couple years, they will become but memories.

That's cool and all. But i hate to break this too ya bud. But Metallica has kind of been around since 1983 and are the most known metal band in the world. And sell out arenas everytime and everywhere they tour. Kanye as a solo artists has been around since 03, and as a producer since 01. And his new songs are still played, and he's still in headlines.

I love Kate a lot and agree about the art. But your trying too hard to act like certain artists careers aren't known. How is Metallica going to be put a memory in a couple years when there the biggest metal band IN THE WORLD. And they were just on the grammys. And Kanye is not going anywhere anytime soon either. Just saying smile

She's sooooo damned sweet! Too bad she won't tour here in The States, but hey...I've grown 2 accept and respect that over the years. As long as she keeps bringin' her beautiful music 2 us, I'm happy. Maybe a new album will follow the tour, live or otherwise? LOVE me some Kate! smile

.

Oh. My. God. And she's doing The Ninth Wave, no less. Unbelievable.

.

Now I can go and agonize if I should try to get a ticket and fly over for this! jet

.

Or I can hope (dream?) that she'll drag herself across the pond and do some shows in the U.S.! There's always the QEII and QMII, she doesn't have to fly!!

Where is the information about the presale on katebush.com? I logged in but didn't see anything. Was something emailed earlier?

It was only for those who were on her mailing list. It was really sweet of her to do that so that her hardcore fans wouldn't have to battle against the odds this coming Friday. However, it's been said that chances of additional shows are high so keep your fingers crossed.

Quite a stressful morning, but I got four tickets this morning for the 2nd September! Only a few rows back as well, so I'm delighted. It's surreal to think I'm going to see Kate live. Wow..unbelievable..
