Beyonce's New Album Is Out (Itunes Exclusive)

Released at midnight tonight on Itunes. I am listening to snippets of the album. Pretty good so far and her videos look good (from the previews I've watched anyway) as well.

Beyonce is really about these new rules that her husband instituted. Taking a page out of Hov’s book, Beyonce decided to challenge her fans. Without an announcement, Beyonce released her full studio album for purchase on Itunes tonight.

G3000	I've never been a fan, but this is a slick marketing move. I love that my FB friends are also posting about it and the tweets are getting out of control. * Bravo. I'm curious now. If this were released the traditional way, I wouldn't have given it the time of day. * Very smart, Bey, very smart.

I agree. I'm a casual fan but I agree this was very smart of her. No hype or anything. Just let the music speak for itself. Great marketing strategy.

I dont know how smart it is, its a meme for the moment, but only her fans are that interested. Without a single or any promotion the majority of people arent going to even know this has happened.

I'm not a fan or anything, but this is REALLY cool!

Makes a nice change not to have a big star's hype shoved down your neck. She's just done it and released it leaving the audience to decide if they like it or not.

Some of the videos look interesting, I especially like the Madonna inspired 'Haunted'.

KCOOLMUZIQ	I have to bow down to her for the shock value of this! Even though I'm not a fan. She out did Prince on that alone! I guess I agree now she is the "Queen Bee" or "King Bey"!!! will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! Not a fan but I can get with "Blow", "XO", "Mines" and "Blue". But "Haunted" hands down is fierce. If she did that type of music on a consistent basis, she would actually make a fan out of me. nod

I guess I dont get all the hype and hysteria about this? She released an album and music videos--well she's a singer and this is what she and all the singers do, its their job. The only thing different she did this time was she kept it all top secret and released it unannounced. Ok. She gets kudos for keeping it all secret but people and the media acting like this is the biggest and greatest ever feat achieved in music is a bit much confused And didnt she make music videos for every song on her album on the Bday album? But like G3000 said, this move demonstrates the power of social media--its a force to be reckoned with that's for sure!
