Bad Girls - Donna Summer

Off the Wall - Michael Jackson

Prince - Prince

For You - Prince

Love Alive 2 - Walter Hawkins and The Love Center Choir

Guilty - Barbra Streisand (Still my favorite Streisand, followed by "The Broadway Album.')

Dirty Mind - Prince

Those are the earliest I remember from high school. But by late 1981 I was buying music all the time.

They all still get airplay except for Off the Wall. I listen to songs off it. The others, I want to hear the whole album.

I don't why with Off the Wall.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

2) Ton Loc - Loc-ed after Dark

4) Gerardo - Mo Ritmo (the guy who sang Rico Suave)

Change it one more time..

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

If I remember right:

Control by Janet

Sign of the times by Prince

Bad by Michael

Lovesexy by Prince

and some kind of double album with 12" versions of Surburbia (PSB), We don't have to take our clothes off (Steward), Talk to me (Debarge) etc.

Good times!!

I used to play an album for months and months. lol

Earth Wind & Fire - All'n All
Electric Light Orchestra - Discovery
Beatles - Red & Blue Album
Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life

Earth Wind & Fire - I Am
Earth Wind & Fire - Greatest Hits (actually that was a gift from an uncle)
Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack
Xanadu Soundtrack
Paul McCartney - McCartney II
Queen - The Game
Queen Live Killers
Bill Joel - Glass Houses
Diana Ross - Diana

Donna Summer - On The Radio

Stevie Wonder - Hotter than July

a bit more than ten, cause I can't remember the exact order in which I bought each album, and I probably forget some too, however the first five to kick it off I am pretty sure about.

[img:$uid]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51URFlsv5GL._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://www.planetearthrecords.co.uk/ekmps/shops/planetearthrec/images/electric-light-orchestra-elo-discovery-cd-album-epic-1979-119-p.png[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51mD1oYFfoL._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51D2P2bOp2L._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://www.steviewonder.org.uk/discography/albums/artwork/songs_in_the_key_of_life.jpg[/img:$uid]

after that it went a little something like this:

[img:$uid]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61AYc3VdELL._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51cpt89a3TL._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_SGdwF4YH1mw/Rm7BJFwfzbI/AAAAAAAAAkE/lfuszSYOrGk/s320/Xanadu%2BCover.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://www.jpgr.co.uk/pctc258_a.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/16/Queen_The_Game.png[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://img3.picload.org/image/dowlag/queen-livekiller.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://rolandproske.beepworld.de/files/LP-Covers/billyjoel-glasshouses.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://ring.cdandlp.com/barryw95/photo_grande/114760772.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-FKk0pqbCzc/RyiHKz4sQiI/AAAAAAAAARE/79BHmTS_g0I/s320/capazv8.jpg[/img:$uid] [img:$uid]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/11/Hotter_July.jpg[/img:$uid]

it's pretty obvious that I am still very young and was born only in the early 90s nod

[*edit* forgot about Donna Summer and Hotter than July ]

As best as I can remember, I think it went like this.....

1. Grease Soundtrack

2. Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack

3. Live and More - Donna Summer

4. Bad Girls - Donna Summer

5. Hot Box - Fatback (I remember it was the first album I ever bought that wasn't a double album)

6. Fire It Up - Rick James

7. Off The Wall - Michael Jackson

8. Dirty Mind - Prince

9. Prince - Prince

10. I can't remember the order in which I bought albums after that because I started buying more of them.

Those are just albums though and albums were hard to get except for special occassions such as birthdays, Christmases, or gotten through bribes from my grandmother such as ....."Andy, I'll buy you an album if I don't have to take you to that damned fair and walk my legs off while you ride those rides". lol I bought more 45s than anything in those days because they were much cheaper.

Andy is a four letter word.

damn, i swear everyone has some cool first albums, wish i could say my first albums were prince and mj, but no... mine consisted of 90's kiddie bands, barbie party cds and long forgotten ex-australian idol contestants, my quality taste for music didn't develop until i was much older, however here are some albums i remember that bring back many memories of the early 00's

shakira - laundry service

delta goodrem - born to try

delta goodrem - mistaken identity

hilary duff - metamorphosis

gwen stefani - love angel music baby

destiny's child - destiny fullfilled

i had various complilations of nostalgia songs from the early 00's mainly, didn't really own much, compared to now...
