I don't know that it's fair to include Mom's invention in his success. Nesmith was/is pretty much his own making. He was young when the Monkees phenominom happened; set himself up right there. He's a constant, always producing something. Lawsuits are just part of business and suits for theft are a dime a dozen.

I mean he can afford to not perform. He hasn't done much in show business in years and is fairly reclusive. He just holds his think tank conventions. Here's a recent photo of Mike & Micky.
