Best selling album AROUND THE WORLD. Dude if you're going to play the old "my dick is bigger than yours," then remember to keep the rest of the world in mind. I wonder, really, how many records Lionel and Bruce can sell outside the US. And I wonder if they've had their last two tours earn enough to be considered two of the highest grossing tours OF ALL TIME!

then she should move to another country. Bruce does decent in concerts plus he sings live and the show isnt about smoke and mirrors and highlights his talent.

Why exactly does she need to move to another country? She's selling worldwide, headquartered in NY. Your logic does not follow. Do you even see your hypocrisy? "Bruce does decent concerts..." So using your logic Madonna does decent sales in the U.S. So what? And you may call them "smoke and mirrors" BUT many call it part of the spectacle. Most tours have them. Even our beloved Prince. And I've been to Bruce shows...video screens are used in those shows too. And really, can you really compare the two; Bruce and Madonna? I can come on here and bitch about how Bruce just stands there with his guitar and does not dance. Why doesn't Bruce dance goddman it? For example. I'm a huge Ani Difranco fan. She's never had a hit single. She doesn't sell many records at all. Her shows are just about singing and acoustic guitar playing. It never, ever, has occured to me to compare her to Madonna. Ever. I'm able to appreciate both for what they bring to the table.

Here, is the point we should all agree on whether or not we agree on each artist. Why must there always be this constant comparison and all the nastiness that goes along with it? rolleyes I've been to Bruce concerts, Lionel concerts, and Prince concerts. I like all of them (although Prince is my all time fav!) and I don't compare any of them to one another--I never have, even back in the '80s. Hell, I loved Prince, MJ, and Madonna equally in the early 80s. I'm genuinely pleased that both Madonna and Lionel are doing so well in this day and age. I've never been to a Madonna concert and I am really looking forward to seeing her for the first time. I have one best friend who has seen her twice in the 90s and says she puts on a helluva concert; I have another who can't stand Madonna. I don't care. It doesn't matter to me if someone likes who I like or not. It would be really boring if we all liked the same kind of music. But, in saying that, feeding into the negative nellies on this board ain't gonna get anyone anywhere except in a big flaming mess! razz lol

omg is that setlist official??? eek because it's both great biggrin and awful neutral at the same time (if that makes any sense); that setlist is soooo polarizing that it could even mean a drop in tickets sold due to negative word of mouth...

What exactly do you not like on the new setlist? lol Too many new songs and not enough oldies?

If this is the setlist, I'm glad she is including the songs I like off the new album as well as old favorites. Do you want her to be like Prince and just play old songs? Actually, he did play a few new songs when I went to his concerts last year so that isn't really fair... lol

If this is the setlist than I'm a happy camper. I love the new album and I'm so excited to hear them live. And please oh please "Get Together" better make the final cut. It's my all time favorite Madge song.

You will not be dissapointed by the show. Trust me. Her concerts are epic. I'm a concert freak. I've been obsessed with concerts since my dad took me and my sisters to see the "Purple Rain Tour," back when I was ten. I love, absolutely love big ol' spectacles and Madge I think is the leader in over the top fun, fun shows. She works her ass off in her shows. You will be amazed at the energy she exudes and it's cool to watch her have so much fun onstage, she clearly loves it and the crowd really feeds off of that.

I know what you mean--I've become quite a live concert junkie in the past three or four years after a dry spell of about fifteen years. razz lol I can't believe some of the epic concerts I've missed out on! Trying to make up for lost time, I suppose. lol I haven't been disappointed at any recent concerts yet--except for John Legend's opening performance for Sade last year. But, Sade--OMG!--what a spectacular concert! So looking forward to the DVD coming out this month! wink

I know what you mean about John Legend. I only caught the final two songs and was underwhelmed. Dull as hell. And the fact that they all wore white made the entire thing just bland as fuck. I was actually at the show in Orange County were they shot the DVD. Sade was amazing. I've just about died when she closed with "Cherish The Day." My favorite Sade track.

Sade sends shivers down my spine when she sings Cherish the Day and Jezebel. And props to Sade the Band as well--they were wonderful. I went to the Oakland show and I was sorry I didn't go to a second one. I had a seat on the side next to the stage which was great for a neked eye view of the stage but lousy for the whole big screen experience. I didn't make that mistake with Madonna this time! I got side view seats but in a more strategic viewing position. And with the triangle stage, the view will be even better! biggrin

You're the only one still obsessed with this a month and a half later. Well, you and Roger Friedman. Congratulations on being in that kind of company.

While you're sitting at a computer obsessing about her record sales, she's probably already planning to buy her next mansion lol focus on your own life and career,Madonna is doing fine.

My life is very good I make great money few ppl can make and hope to start my own company within the next year and what about ur life SoulAlive why dont u go get an education first maybe then u can be richer and forget about making ur fav star richer.

There is something majorly wrong when ur star spends tons of money marketing tons of money on hot producers and tons of money on hot song writers and it still doesnt sell, maybe if i run into her near nassau collesium i will let her know how poorly her album is doing. I used to go running right by the collesium.

SoulAlive i am pretty sure i have run into u when i used to live in san jose

If your life was going as well as you say,you wouldn't spend so much time obsessing over an artist that you don't even like. You could start 10 companies and you still wouldn't be as wealthy as Madonna is lol Stop being jealous of her and move on with your own life. How many records have you sold? How many record-breaking tours have you done?

it is necessary to play ALMOST the ENTIRE MDNA album? I don't think so confused

I'm not asking for the typical superhits, but it truly hurts to see songs like I'm a Sinner or Best Friend in the setlist, specially if she has decided that songs like Vogue or Like a Prayer are not convenient for this tour...whatever

I'd change Revolver, I'm a Sinner, Love Spent, and Best Friend for Vogue, Like a Prayer, Deeper and Deeper (that song would be perfect for this tour) and a song of the Ray of light album dammit (Sky Fits Heaven, for example) . It annoys me that all the mini sets have one (or two) songs that are either misplaced or completely unnecessary/unexciting, or both... confused My opinion, of course...

that said, I'm glad that she's resurrecting songs like Nobody Knows Me, Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach (lyrics still relevant), Bedtime Story or Justify My Love...

I also believe that, sooner or later, we'll get a limited "rare songs/album tracks/old hits" tour...like Kylie is doing recently...

my perfect setlist would be

SET I

Intro-Girl Gone Wild

Music

Vogue

Open Your Heart

Nobody Knows Me (interlude)

SET II

Deeper and Deeper

Hung Up

Gang Bang

I Don't Give A

Sky Fits Heaven

Masterpiece (interlude)

SET III

Papa Don't Preach

Like a Prayer

Falling Free

Get Together

Bedtime Story (interlude)

SET IV

Turn Up the Radio

Don't Tell Me

Like a Virgin

Justify My Love

I'm Addicted (interlude)

SET V

Holiday

Celebration

Express Yourself

Give Me All Your Love

damn that would be good, for that setlist, I'd pay the front row ticket, and I'd buy the DVD/CD lol

An amazingly huge Madonna spread was featured on the supplement magazine of German newspaper the Zeit yesterday.

Check it out after the jump and also have a look at a short video from the interview below.

Not feeling it...it sounds like a one of those lame unofficial techno remixes that make the rounds in the web...
