Just heard "Super Pop" for the first time and it just struck me how much this song has in common with "Superstar" off MDNA--the comparison of Madonna to famous names--but "Super Pop" is a much superior song IMO. Just thought I'd comment on first impressions...

Madonna Promises 'A Feast For The Eyes' On MDNA Tour
Singer has reportedly enlisted fashion guru Jean-Paul Gaultier to design the costumes for the tour, which kicks off May 29.
By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212)

Watch video clip HERE

Madonna is several weeks out from launching her MDNA tour. That means she's working hard on getting every aspect of the show just right, from the music to the design to the looks.

Given that Madonna is famous for her spectacular stage shows, fans of the glitzy singer have high expectations for the jaunt, which will kick off on May 29 in Tel Aviv, and will wrap around the globe before planting Stateside on August 28 in Philadelphia.

When MTV News caught up with singer at the launch of her Truth or Dare perfume in New York City, she revealed that fans should expect this latest excursion to be just as eye-catching as the ones that came before. "Amazing music, incredible dancing, the team of people that I worked with for the Super Bowl is working with me on this as well," she explained about the show, which she is currently rehearsing for. And, in the end, she hopes it will be "a feast for the eyes and the ears."

Given how decadent her Roman- and Egyptian-themed Super Bowl performance was, full of acrobatics, sparkling costumes and enough diva-tude to make Cleopatra jealous, it seems that Madge is taking all the right steps to capture that eye-popping essence for her traveling stage show.

With a set list floating around that includes tracks like fan favorites "Secret" and "Deeper and Deeper," as well as new tracks like "Turn Up the Radio" and "Girl Gone Wild," she's even enlisted her longtime fashion guru, Jean-Paul Gaultier, to design the costumes for the tour, according to Pink Is The New Blog. He's worked with her on her Confessions Tour, her Re-Invention Tour, the Drowned World Tour and her Blond Ambition Tour. He's also the man who designed her famous cone bra.

It seems that the Queen of Pop will rule Long Island's Nassau Coliseum starting at the end of this month through mid-May, according to Newsday. The pop singer and her team are rumored to have rented out the space to rehearse, but she has no plans to stop there during the tour.

Madge dropped her album, MDNA, last month.

Riccardo Tisci from Givenchy is designing costumes for Madonna 2012 World Tour

After designing costumes for Madonna's sucessful Super Bowl Half Time Show, Riccardo Tisci from Givenchy is now working on her MDNA World Tour.

"I worship and adore [Jean Paul Gaultier]. He’s creating one of my costumes, and kind of godfathering the costumes for a section of my show, with all my dancers. I’m really happy he’s doing it, because he’s such a genius," Madonna told WWD during an interview after the Macy’s appearance. "And I’ll probably wear something that Riccardo [Tisci] from Givenchy makes. But the rest of it is going to be what my costume designer Arianne Phillips creates with me."

"It’s crunch time for me getting my show ready, so after this I have to go back to the dungeon,” Madonna told WWD. "I call it the dungeon, where we work. In a room with no light. It’s kind of our factory, but I have a lot of work to do."

Madonna also talked about the Super Bowl show and called it "one of my most favorite and most treasured performing experiences, for sure. That was amazing." But next time she may opt for flats instead of heels: "The dance that LMFAO does, the shuffle, was really hard to do in heels. I have to say, I would prefer to do the shuffle in sneakers. If you want to drop it like it’s hot, it’s good to wear flats, because then your booty gets really close to the floor, but then there are things you can do in heels that you can’t do in sneakers."

Madonna Song of the day: "Some Girls"

Some Girls
full lyrics + spoken sections

Written by Madonna, William Orbit & Klas Ahlund
Produced by Produced by Madonna & William Orbit | Co-Produced by Klas Ahlund

Some girls can do anything
Whole world hanging on a string
She's flawless, so fresh and clean
Like a virgin sweet and keen

Some girls got an attitude
Fake tits and a nasty mood
Hot shit when she's in the nude
In the naughty naked nude

Some girls got a sexy slur (Slur r r)
One drink and it's all a blur (Blur r r)
Cash now if you wanna flir r rt
Cash or credit, it's gonna hurt

Some girls going off the deep end (Deep end)
Some girls livin' for the weekend (Weekend)
Some girls like to get their freak on
Freaky, gettin' freaky

Some girls make a scene
Shoot their mouths and talk obscene
Crying in the limousine
Crying in the limousine

Some girls make you feel
Like a rocket, hard as steel
Some girls only ever like to tease
Some girls only like to tease

Some girls are not like me
I'm everything you ever dreamed of
I got you begging 'baby please'
I got you begging 'baby please'

Some girls want to call the shots
Come first, wanna be on top
Gotta work till you hit the spot
Spot spot sp spot sp spot sp eeeee

Some girls have a filthy mouth
All talk and they never stop
Just takin, it's not enough
Too much is never enough

Some girls make a scene
Shoot their mouths and talk obscene
Crying in the limousine
Crying in the limousine

Some girls make you feel
Like a rocket, hard as steel
Some girls only ever like to tease
Some girls only like to tease

Some girls are not like me
I'm everything you ever dreamed of
Your worst nightmare
I got you begging 'baby please'
I got you begging 'baby please'

A wet dream
Wet dream wet dream wet dream wet dream wet dream
Your big and hard enough

Wrap you arms around my neck
It's time to deal so cut the deck
If you wanna play this game with me

I'm not like all the rest
Some girls are second best
Put you lovin' to the test you'll see

Some girls are not like me
I never wanna be like some girls
Some girls are just for free
I never wanna be like some girls

Some girls are not like me
I'm everything you ever dreamed of
I got you begging 'baby please'
I got you begging 'baby please'

Got their 'fuck me' porn star heels on

Some girls are not like me
I'm better than you ever dreamed of
I got you baby on your knees
I got you begging 'baby please'

Some girls are not like me
I never wanna be like some girls
Got their 'fuck me' porn star heels on
Some girls are not for free
I never wanna be like some girls

Madonna Doesn't Approve of Lourdes' Choices

Posted Image

Photos of 15-year-old Lourdes Leon smoking a cigarette sent the U(RL)niverse into a tailspin of criticism: mostly aimed at mamma Madonna.

On tonight's episode of Rock Center, Madonna addresses her daughter's drag for the first time. "I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all, my daughter," she said in an excerpt of the interview that ran on the Today show this morning. When Harry Smith countered with the fact that Madonna suckles on a cig in her Girl Gone Wild video, she said, "I don't smoke, that's just an accessory. She smoked that cigarette before I did that video, so she didn't get that from me."

Madonna takes umbrage with assertions she's not a good mother, saying she wasn't very happy upon seeing the photos. "I think I am [a tough mom] but I don't think I'm as tough as I should be," she said. "I think maybe I should be tougher but it's hard." And while she admits there are about 25 different versions of Madonna that various people see, her children see just one. "To my children, there's the one that comes home and says, 'Are you doing your homework? Why did you say that? What are you eating that for?'"

And she'll keep on surviving and singing. This interview was conducted around midnight since Madonna had spent all day rehearsing for her upcoming world tour. And she'd like fans to know that at 53-years-old, she has no plans to stop any time soon. "I certainly have stuff left to say, I still feel like expressing myself -- I'll keep doing this as long as I do."

The Material Girl is setting up shop at the Nassau Coliseum.

Madonna, the biggest-selling female recording artist in history, will take over the Uniondale arena beginning Monday to build a massive stage and set for her upcoming world tour, according to a source familiar with the deal.

Under an agreement reached this week, Coliseum employees and the artist's road crew will occupy the arena through late May, the source said. Madonna is expected to appear for rehearsals and show preparations, though there are no plans for her to perform publicly at the arena.

Officials with Philadelphia-based SMG, the management company that runs the arena, did not return calls for comment. Coliseum employees will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement prohibiting them from publicly discussing the arrangement.

Cash-strapped Nassau County, which owns the Coliseum but does not collect revenue directly from arena shows, will not receive any funds from the Madonna contract. Revenue will go to an entity controlled by SMG. Charles Wang, owner of the Coliseum's major tenant, the New York Islanders hockey team, participates in the arrangement, the source said. Wang did not return calls for comment.

Madonna's camp declined to comment about where she would be rehearsing for the tour. However, music industry sources say that she is headed to the Coliseum from late April until mid-May.

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano said that while he couldn't confirm the arrangement with Madonna, the Coliseum stimulates the local economy "by having dollars spent and respent here in Nassau."

The Islanders' failure to make the NHL playoffs this year left the Coliseum with few bookings as of late spring.

With the exception of a handful of college graduation ceremonies, the arena will not host any concerts, children's shows or other events between April 29 and June 17.

"It's a great thing to have the tour practice here since, unfortunately, there is no [playoff] hockey," said the source.

The Islanders' lease at the Coliseum expires in 2015, and while Wang has yet to disclose his intentions for the team, he has said theIslanders will not continue to play in the current Coliseum. Nassau voters in August rejected a referendum to borrow up to $400 million to build a new Coliseum.

Mangano and county officials have suggested a number of ways to build a new Coliseum, including ventures that would be funded publicly, privately or through a public-private partnership. Mangano also has pledged to release a new plan for the surrounding Nassau Hub area, although he has not provided details.

The Coliseum is undergoing asbestos abatement in a handful of spots that county officials say are inaccessible to the public after employees claimed they were becoming ill. A county consultant has found air quality in the building to be safe. The state Department of Labor and the federalOccupational Safety and H...nistration are conducting investigations.

The Madonna tour, scheduled to begin May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and include 76 dates around the world, has no stop on Long Island. Her 1990 Blond Ambition tour stopped at the Coliseum and she made an appearance at a Britney Spears show there in 2009. Madonna has sold more than 300 million albums worldwide.

most of them already bought a copy from retail and got a free giveaway too. Its like 75% would have bought musicology ??

u bought 5 copies from retail too.

if 75% would have bought it from retail then the second week sales would have been 25% less then normal which would mean second week sales would be 93k but that logic doesnt hold up. Since second week sales were only 48k.

3rd week drop is very very high most times its like 30%.

What happened is first single colapsed

then 2nd single colapsed

then the free giveaways were included as a desparation method

coz alot of ppl didnt even know about it. This was a last min safe face measure

It's been a few weeks since I purchased the cd....and here is my view on the album

1-GGW - love the video especially the still shot posted earler with the hot ass men in them heels, however I cringe at F-I-I-IRE...not a favorite line from her.

2-GB - NO

3-I'm Addicted- YAAAAASSSSSSSS can't wait for the extending remix! woot!

4-TUTR- not mind blowing but radio friendly

5-GMAYL- HELL NO

6-SG-NO

7-Superstar- wanted to love it because of Lourdes, but hearing Madonna sing "supa-dupa" ill that is as sickening as watching Prince stifling his sexy antics on stage.

8-IDGA-WTF is this?

9-I'm A Sinner - it's ok glimmer of Ray of Light album for me

10-Love Spent- don't hate it, but don't luv it either

11-Masterpiece YES YES YES CLASSIC MADONNA

12-Falling Free - YES AGAIN Hope she performs this with some serious spin like EROTICA!

13-Beautiful Killer- LOVE IT!

14-I F'd Up- it's aiiiiight but I'm already spoiled by Jessie's J's Nobody's Perfect.

15-B-Day Song - shoot3 is this a reject from the True Blue Album...it's horrid!

16-Best Friend - Love everything with the exception of the auto tuned background vocal.

17-GMAYL the REMIX- NONEVERNOTEVERYUCKWTF!

Now let me say I don't give a fuck about the critics when it comes to my Queen Mother. I love Madonna and will buy every cd like with Prince if I can get my hands on it. Do I love everything, of course not but I can appreciate what they do. I'm very grateful to have lived in their prime. If I had to give this album a grade it would be a C+ only because I like less than half of the entire cd. I wish to have had the chance to see her in concert but the ONLY person I will break the bank for is Prince...PERIOD!lol She looks great in boh videos release so far and I don't care if it's touched up, at 53 she is getting it in and I applaud her for that. Shit, I have been walking at least 5 times a week inspired by her go get it attitude. I hope all that go to her concert ENJOY the hell out of every minute, cuz no doubt she will bring the fire.

First came the news the album wasnt selling now comes the news the concert tix sold good for first few days and then the sales tapered off. The concert tix r likely to be deeply discounted soon.
