Someone kick that homophobe the fuck out of here. Anyway, Turn Up The Radio won't go anywhere as a single, Gang Bang, I'm Addicted or Falling Free are all strong songs that with the right video could really go somewhere.

Madonna's Manager Confirms That 'Turn Up The Radio' Will Be Next MDNA Single

Horrible choice of singles and 99% flop. The weak and repetitive lyrics + an old melody.
Why would they release these songs? the album has some better stuff ....
What's next?? Superstar or a b-day song?? lol

I would have went like this:
1. "Give Me All Your Luvin 'for the U.S. and " I'm Addicted " for the rest of the world
2. "Love Spent" - a beautiful ballad
3. "Gang Bang" ... yes, it`s risky and provocative, but the song would have made a considerable stir.
4. Personally, I love "Beautiful Killer", a very nice song and beautiful end of the era. Although the fourth singles could be released even some dance song, "Girl Gone Wild" or "Turn Up the Radio"
--------------------
Now, I have released "Love Spent", or "Gang Bang", something unexpected and completely different from the first two singles.
I do not understand the choice of singles:
1. a simple dance track + mediocre melody
2. a simple dance track + primitive lyrics
3. a simple dance track + repeative lyrics + music out date for 2-3 years.

I do not think this is a great album or a masterpiece, of course not, but the album is decent.... in the end, it will be less successful than the awful Hard candy .... sad ...... confused

I would have released "GMAYL" strictly as a buzz single, for the SuperBowl.A week later, they should have released "Turn Up The Radio" as the *real* first single, with a cool video and all.

Then I would have released "Love Spent" as the third single, and then "Falling Free".I know that's a bold choice, but I think Madonna has released enough dance singles recently. It's time to get back to something dramatic and 'serious'....to show the world that she's so much more than just a dance music queen.

3rd week is looking like such a disaster

Madonna 'MDNA' is 'DOA': Total Sales Collapse as Amazon Drops Price to 5 Bucks

Madonna‘s ”MDNA” album is dead. It’s really quite amazing. Amazon.com has dropped the price of downloading “MDNA” to five dollars. On iTunes, the only version of the album on the chart is the explicit one, selling for $14.99. It’s at number 46 on their chart. On hitsdailydouble.com, “MDNA” dropped to number 8 from number 1, with an 87% fall off from the previous week.

The amazon.com situation is much worse. As a physical CD, “MDNA” is just gone. The actual CD, explicit or regular (no curse words) is somewhere below 500 in music. This is the second week of release. The clean version — for $5 — is at #733. The dirty one, so to speak, is around 500. “MDNA” is just…gone. It’s a total sales collapse. It makes you wonder, what happened? Of course, Madonna has done very little publicity. And the inflated first week sales–reported here exclusively–are over now as the “bundling” with concert tickets is finished.

But wow. The deluxe version with a special booklet, for sale at $12.99, is showing up on amazon at number 5,706. Five thousand seven hundred and six.

Alle & Benny segment translation:
BENNY She would usually arrive at the studio around 3 or 4 pm and what truly impressed us is that, if we were working on something and there were things to do or change, she would easily stay and go on till 11.30pm. She was incredibly focused. The base for GGW was one of Alle's from a few years back and Demo really liked it. He said "This is amazing because it isn't traditionally dance. Let's play it to her". And so we did just that and she loved it.

ALLE At that point we started working together on the song, trying to elaborate the song, building the structure and putting the finishing touch. Most of all in terms of *voices*. More voices and how many of them and where and more music to it, adding keyboards in parts etc. She has very clear and specific ideas of what she wants and how to execute it: where to put what, how much of it and why. It was an incredible surreal experience. She is a truly impressive person. On I'm Addicted we've worked mainly on the song drafting and adding filters. Best Friend came about at the last minute as we were listening to other things with Demo.

BENNY She took down the chords and played the song on her guitar. She liked the base of the song. For us working with Madonna is a career all-time high in the sense that we would have been just as happy with a remix and in my career as a DJ I've always been quite a fan of hers.

Have the first look at the spankin' new Girl Gone Wild CD Single. As reported first here on on March 21st, the two track single will hit the stores tomorrow, April 13 in Germany, the Netherlands and other countries with Fridays as the street date for the new releases, and on Monday and Tuesday in the other markets.

Also this week, as previously reported, the MDNA album is released on 12'' vinyl while the Girl Gone Wild Picture Disc will come out the following week (April 20 / 23 / 24).

Click the images below to enlarge - worth noticing is that there is no "MADONNA" name on the iconic cover which is the same of the digital release, but she's featured on the disc artwork with the same "smokey" lettering of the song title.

I totally agree. "Turn up the radio" is such a weak choice!

Nonetheless: Why all this negativity for B-day song? I think it's a nice little track with a punky 80s attitude. A little bit like "Everybody loves me", although Prince's melody sounds so much more forced than Madonna's effort.

Glindathegood

I adore MDNA and think it's one of her best records, but the problem is a lot of the songs just aren't commercial or suited for radio. I think they chose the singles they did even though they aren't the best songs on the record, because they were really the only ones that are radio friendly. TUTR is really the only other song on the standard edition that is radio friendly so that's why they are choosing that. The only other song I could see as being a radio single is Beautiful Killer. They probably won't release that as it's on the deluxe version, but I think it could be a great single. It's still uptempo but it's more of a pop song, not straight up club or dance so it would be a slightly different sound for her.

I like B'day Song and Turn Up The Radio but neither of these are good choices for singles. Not when there are much stronger possibilities on the album even though they are more controversial. What is this playing it safe mentality with these more "clean" but banal offerings?! I don't get it. This isn't a time to play it safe--this is a time to launch something with fangs--something more daring! C'mon team Madonna--step up your act! (End of rant) razz lol

Madonna for "Daybreak," Lorraine Interview next week

Madonna will have a special morning dedicated to her on ITV1 next week.
The ‘Gimme All Your Luvin” singer will be interviewed by Dan Wootton, to be spread across both Daybreak and Lorraine on Friday (April 20).

Wootton revealed that it will be Madonna’s only UK interview this summer as she promotes her latest album MDNA.

In a short clip ahead of next week’s broadcast, Madonna revealed what she does and doesn’t miss about living in the UK.

“I miss riding my bike everywhere, I miss the British sense of humour,” she said. “What [do] I miss the least? The congestion charge.”
Madonna will talk about a range of subjects including her thoughts on Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Adele and motherhood.

Tour Rehearsals to take place at Nassau Coliseum
Breaking NewsAccording to Long Island and New York City newspaper Newsday, Madonna will take over the Nassau Coliseum arena beginning Monday to build a massive stage and set for her upcoming world tour. Under an agreement reached this week, employees and the artist's road crew will occupy the Uniondale arena through late May, the source said. Madonna is expected to appear for rehearsals and show preparations, though there are no plans for her to perform publicly at the arena.

Officials with Philadelphia-based SMG, the management company that runs the arena, did not return calls for comment. Coliseum employees will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement prohibiting them from publicly discussing the arrangement.

Cash-strapped Nassau County, which owns the Coliseum but does not collect revenue directly from arena shows, will not receive any funds from the Madonna contract. Revenue will go to an entity controlled by SMG. Charles Wang, owner of the Coliseum's major tenant, the New York Islanders hockey team, participates in the arrangement, the source said. Wang did not return calls for comment.

Madonna's camp declined to comment about where she would be rehearsing for the tour. However, music industry sources say that she is headed to the Coliseum from late April until mid-May.

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano said that while he couldn't confirm the arrangement with Madonna, the Coliseum stimulates the local economy "by having dollars spent and respent here in Nassau."
