Me, too.

I loooove Will You Be There, but it would have made a nice substitute since the scale is similar

OMGGGGGGG!!!!! I love how it sounds in the morning when the sun is coming up and his soprano, especially in the bridge, that part reminds me a little bit of Who Is It.

And yeah, We've Had Enough described what was going on in the world then perfectly :*( and I was so sad for him everyday too back then because of the allegations and could hear how good he was.

It sounds like angels singing lol .... I remember being so excited for the Ultimate Collection when it came out... I think I was in middle school when it came out... I wore it out...lol

yeah it really does, same with the similar vocals in who is it

I remember getting it too, wanted it so bad on the first day like usual, but had to wait two days cause I had a major term paper due on the day after the release, third year uni I believe. But I knew the songs already though once I got it, I was playing it all winter and loved the non-album tracks I didn't know before so much! I first heard Someone Put Your Hand Out at my tutor's in 2000 though, he had the Pepsi promo cassette from Dangerous era and played it. He's such a big fan with a collection that rivalled mine.

I'll give you one thing about that awful anniversary thing, just one screenshot from it and I know what is is LOL.

To be fair, it wasn't all bad. I actaully enjoyed the live Jacksons bit alot, but Mike seemed pissed off all the way through. In hindsight it's quite obviously he was on painkillers and uppers and downers at that time.

The first song with Mya (who is fine LOL), Usher and Whitney was great though.

Love it when Whitney comes for that last mini verse out of nowhere. She sounded good too. Though I remember that the press only talked about how skinny Whitney looked LOL. Anyone remeber that? Her dancing a lil' bit at the end woth Mya and Usher LOL.

^ I remember that, and rumors that Whitney died of anorexia or drugs or something that were cleared up quickly. And they were talking about how they had to adjust the screen to hide how bony she was the way they had to do something to make michael appear not too pale

Michael looks drugged up unfortunately. Even when he is sitting down he looks seriously tired. A shame, but then he did lypsync his whole solo bit, so drugged up or not his bit still would of sucked.

I dug his hair back then though. Everything was in place for the album launch, but with the poor reviews of the anniversary, Mikes awful cameo on MTV with Nsync, september 11, "you rock my world" not getting to no.1 in the UK LOL, ony allegedly leaking "YRMW" to force Michaels hand at being the first single, Mikes pointless showing at Nasdaq LOL, poor reviews of "YRMW" and abit later the whole "What more can i give" fiasco. LOL alot of shit went wrong. Let alone the bad reviews the album got.

I did like his TRL appearance though, that was cool.

CONFIRMED: Cirque du Soleil Drop ‘Breaking News’ AND ‘Monster’ from The Immortal World Tour

It’s official… “Breaking News” AND “Monster” have been dropped from the The Immortal World Tour’s set-list.

Many fans expressed deep concerns(that we also expressed directly to the Estate and Cirque) over the use of these two controversial Cascio tracks.

We’ve just received word directly from the Estate that changes to the show are still ongoing and that 50 Cent’s rap “may” still be used. “Off The Wall” and “Cry” have also been dropped. “Threatened” has been added and ”more changes are expected.”

Read more: http://www.mjnewsalerts.c...z1Ycd2ofzH

-You may want to overlook the following comment, as it's about the authenticity of the Cascio songs-

Next time we're ready to have a Cascio authenticity debate, somebody let me know. I never participated in one, but I remain unconvinced that the songs are fake (I'm not saying they are real, either; and I'm ready to be attacked by all of you), and I don't understand how the word of The Jackson family (who have done nothing but try to profit any way they can off of Michael's name) is more trustable than the word of Teddy Riley, Bruce Swedien, Frank DiLeo, Dr. Freeze, The Cascios, and many others who worked with MJ, and who MJ trusted. The argument that they're all lying for $$ really has no substance. Then again there's no substance to any argument that the songs are fake (please do correct me if I'm wrong about this). Just that your ear hears an imposter.

I also recommend anybody who really wants to know the truth about these songs reads up on Melodyne (Teddy admitted to using this) if you haven't yet, and how much it can alter one's voice, including their Vibrato, which seems to be the main thing that people think sounds 'off' about the voice. Again, I'm not claiming the songs to be real, but I see not one substantial piece of evidence that they are fake, and I believe in innocent until proven guilty, just as I did during the child molestation trial..

*Sorry in advance for possibly leading this thread in a direction many of you don't want it to go*

I just had to make my opinion known. I don't understand why it's not a more popular opinion.

I loved his hair then, too. And I also love Invincible! It used to be my favorite album. I'm not sure which I prefer now, though.

But the reason for Invincible's failure is probably largely due to no tour, terrible single choices, and terrible promotion of the singles. "Heartbreaker" and "Break Of Dawn" would have (imo) made better singles than "Cry" and "Butterflies". The tour would've no doubt been huge, too.

Yeah, that must of pissed off Sony abit by not touring.

what do you guys in general think about that era? Bad publicity stunts? Did Michael look rough to you too? And what about the aniversary concerts? As i said, at least the Jacksons bit was good, even if Randy pissed Michael off during "ABC" LOL. I know they script stuff on stage in the past, but that didn't look scripted to me LOL.

I enjoyed the performance of 'You Rock My World' even if it was lip-synched. Actually, I thought Michael's part of the anniversary show was good. Performing with N Sync is a bit pathetic, though. Sometimes I wish Michael would have went the way of Prince and gave up on trying to stay hip and relevant. Kinda embarrassing..

The "dancing machine" bit was OK. I just watched 98 degrees, Usher and Luther sing "man in the mirror" again. What a mess. The first verse is pretty awful, then Luther comes along looking like Morphius' gay brother doing his grand standing vocal thing. It's kinda funny, but Luther sure likes the sound of his own voice LOL. I love Luther but it was abit too much. At least Nick Lachley does a little bit at the end, trying not to out diva Usher and Luther LOL.

Usher should know not to mess with Luther LOL.

I still think Mikes solo set was weak. Sorry. At least on the "History" tour he danced well. He looks stiff most of the time at the aniversary.

I just realised I should have clarified, but I was referring to MJ at the VMAs with N Sync. The anniversary performances with the other artists weren't as bad.

Going back to the VMA thing, for starters Mike should of premiered "YRMW" (or "unbreakable" as that should of been lead single) at the VMA's, but at least his surprise cameo was a good idea with the whole etcha sketch thing. I remember me and my mates watching that live and was like "holy shit, it's Michael Jackson" LOL, but he was so stiff. And that turn at the end was so weak. His timing was way off aswell. A missed opputunity.

But promotion wise, Sony did promote it before and shortly after it's release. No question. Why they stopped it we could debate forever? Mike's 2nd single was "cry" in UK and europe, and that did bomb. I think thats where the shit hit the fan as it was alledged Mike refused to be in the video as the production budget was too small. After the fiasco of the "you rock my world" video, which added yet another insult to the promotion of the album, Iam not surprised Sony wanted a cheaper video for "cry" LOL.

"YRMW" cost millions apparantly....what a waste LOL, but I do like the colour scheme in the video. Apparantly inspired by Sophie Ellis Bexstors(?) video "Murder on the dancefloor". Yep I remember....

I'll be at Crique opening night 10/2. I'll post a review on here as soon as I get the chance after the show.

I'm flying to Vancouver to catch 2 shows in November. Hope you have a great time, just be sure to label your post SPOILER so the rest of us get a chance to see the show with fresh eyes if we choose to.

From the sounds of it, sounds like it will be a great show.

No 10 was very weak considering it was his first single. Still not as bad as the US showing for "blood on the dancefloor" (no. 42 which is insanely bad), but it did miles better in other territories. I do think "Unbreakable" would of done better (with an edit of course). That piano riff is one of the best things on the whole disc LOL. "YRMW" would of made a fine second single. The track has grown on me alot, but I remember first hearing it on the radio and being underwhelmed at the time. Sounds great now though.

Oh she did lol like I said the best performances were beneath the bad production but Whitney's performance was real good here. Odd thing is when the addiction got worse and she gained back weight, that's when the hoarseness started and never really left. But yeah that was about the only real press it got. I don't blame Sony for the "failure" (as some people put it) of Invincible, and obviously it wasn't a failure at all going by the sales and the top 10 single.

With "Unbreakable", I think the lyrics are what would've kept it from being a huge hit. I don't think the mainstream liked when MJ did those kind of songs. I know "Scream" was pretty big and "Leave Me Alone" was big outside the US, but I've heard many people, friends of mine and music critics say they didn't like the attacking the media/haters songs. I don't know.. maybe it would've been huge, but I think "You Rock My World" had more mainstream appeal..

It's funny as she doesn't look that bad on the video LOL. Either the video editors covered that up well or the photo was just naturally very unflattering. So yeah apart from "Wanna be starting something" bit when Whitney comes in, the rest of the guests did little for me. I don't know.. maybe it would've been huge, but I think "You Rock My World" had more mainstream appeal..

I know what your saying. Mikes agressive media bashing songs were getting a little thin, but again that piano riff is catchy as hell LOL. Though I do get that song mixed up with "Invincible" sometimes though, particually the chorus.

"and u cant touch me, 'cause Iam untouchable".

Typical Jackson lyrics and for a first video, nobody would expect anything less then a typical shouty Jackson track with a flashy video. Be like if "Remember the time" was the first single off "Dangerous". Both are great songs but you need something abit flashier for a first single of Mikes I feel. At least by this point in his career you did.

But you maybe right, but I remember "YRMW" got alot of very bad press and the main reason was it was underwhelming for a first single after a 4 year wait. And I can see their point.
