I said I like it and considered it one of the best ones because of the middle to end (it gets epic on those parts) I’m just not sure if that’s going to be a single but it was supposed to be the first single I heard.. she chose Born this way instead.

what's wrong with the song?

I honestly feel she need to stay away from the religious content for the single after edge of glory I think it should be a future single just not right now. who knows though.

Not a damn thing. | |

I thought people would LOVE the song...they only like it...

Then she picked it up as her next single after "Judas" but decided against it because of the positive response to "The Edge of Glory". I thought it was average the first few listens but I'll be honest the last I heard it I actually have changed my mind on it and it's damn good.
The really BAD ones are "Bad Kids", "Hair" and "Highway Unicorn". I've warmed a little to "Judas" so it's off my "god awful" list but it's average at best.

Ok, I'm fuckin PISSED, I'M FUCKIN ANGRY, I'M FUCKIN' MAD, I'M FUCKIN' MAD AS FUCKIN' HELL
from Wikipedia:
However, Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune writes, ""Born This Way" feels rushed – from the cheesy, photo-shopped cover art to the hyperventilating music. It is the sound of a major artist sprinting to please everyone all the time."[69] Los Angeles Times writes, "She’s speaking to everyone, it seems, except fans of artistic innovation. Say what you want about Lady Gaga, but nuance is not one of her strong points, nor is musical adventure. She’s unsubtle in her message, unsubtle in her dress, and, most important, unsubtle aesthetically... If Gaga had only spent as much time on pushing musical boundaries as she has social ones, “Born This Way” would have been a lot more successful."[70] Chris Richards of The Washington Post found it "boring", writing, "Yes, "Born This Way" is a dark, dense and surprisingly aggressive listen... [but] at its worst, it sounds like reheated leftovers from some '80s movie soundtrack."[71] The Boston Globe called the album "the most deflated moment in pop music this year," saying the album lacks cohesion and the songwriting "feels thin." [72] Rich Juzwiak of The Village Voice commented that Gaga's "we-shall-overcome sentiment" is expressed more effectively through the album's "egalitarian use of house beats" than through her "sloganeering", which he found "trite" and "[un]insightful".[66] The Independent gave Born This Way three out of five stars. While complimenting her vocal range, criticised the diversity within the album and stated "the broader she spreads her net musically, the less distinctive her art becomes."[61] Evan Sawdey of PopMatters gave the album a five out of 10 rating and dubbed it "her weakest album to date", commenting that it "fus[es] some daring songwriting with some remarkably repetitive themes and beats"

This album got a lot of mixed reviews most I seen have been postive though , I think everyone is still on the fame monster (which was a very good album/EP imo I wore it out )

"Hair" and "Highway Unicorn" grew on me. "Hair' is pretty ridiculous, but its still a classic standard house beat backing a pop tune. The lyrics are what really ruin it, IMO.

Update:
REAL GOOD SONGS: Schiebe Marry the Night Heavy Metal Lover Bloody Mary Government Hooker (FUCK IT! I love it now fuck it..!
GOOD: The Edge of Glory Electric Chapel (that intro = ) You & I (Shania Twain meets Queen meets Def Leppard meets Rascal Flatts...still like it, should be a single in the future)
OKAY: Judas (it's not as awful as I thought but surely more work needed to be done to it. I still couldn't really get into it but she gets A for effort)
BAD: Americano (I know she was trying to do camp with this but it got from one extreme to another and I still haven't really warmed up to it. Not awful but definitely skippable)
(Still) HELL NAW: Born This Way (still don't get how this went to #1 over Judas or even TEOG ) Hair (even Clarence can't save this atrocity ) Bad Kids (other than the Michael-inspired intro, no just no) Highway Unicorn (Gaga, really? Really?) Fashion of His Love (I don't know why but I just can't get into it, I'm feeling like vainandy does about Whitney and it kinda sounds like Only in My Dreams by Debbie Gibson, still don't like it)
Haven't even heard Black Jesus and The Queen yet... [Edited 5/30/11 14:55pm] [Edited 5/30/11 14:58pm]

Can you name one song about hair better than GaGa's "Hair" ??
can you? I can't... | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
It would've been decent if the lyrics were different, I agree. I still can't get into Highway Unicorn though... I don't know why, I just can't.

Fashion of His love is fun I don’t care but it’s not flawless. It's skipable.
