New Video clip of Jermaine singing MJ songs and Jacksons songs

This is from Paris the other week. I've got to hand it to Jermaine, he is really rocking that house. Good energy in the audience! He sounds good although some of the notes (especially in Can you Feel it) he is forced to sing falsetto. (Maybe he should have lowered the key or sung some of it an octave lower in stead). He does a better job on Scream, WBSS and Blame it on the boogie.

Scream was terrible, the song doesn't suit him at all.

why does he sing songs of Michael? I thought he had hits on his own.

It was suppose to be a tribute to Michael. However I thought everybody knew that Jermaine has given up his own carrier long time ago wink

To me, it's embarrassing. I personally wouldn't go to see him. The fact that he sings only Mike's songs is irritating to me. And Jermaine, please don't do the dancing. shake

He's done so many tributes by now that it looks more like he is using his brother's fame.

Although I agree that Jermaine is riding MJ's coattails it isn't entirely true that he is only doing Mike's songs. When he did his Vegas thing he did his own songs like Daddy's Home, Dynamite and Let's get serious, J5 songs like I'll be there, Jacksons songs like Can you feel it and MJ songs like Man in the mirror and Lady in my life. Also during this show he did Jacksons songs as well as MJ songs.

I know I wasn't supposed to laugh but I couldn't help it. I know it's supposed to be a tribute but this is comedy to me. Jermaine is talented (second best in the family) but he can't do Michael. I'm sorry.

That's a valid point! I really enjoy Jermaine doing his brother's hits and J5 classics, but it perplexes me as to why he doesn't do more his own material. Jerm has a pretty strong and rich catalog of solo material from both Motown and Arista that he refuses to perform. He really has given up on his career! lol

Jermaine's own carrier is dead, I see in him a defeated man...

I don't know why but I'm surprised he can't sing that high.

I'm not. I've listened to enough Jackson 5 records and his solo records. He sucks at falsetto. The only time I thought he sounded decent singing like that was "Castles of Sand", which I ironically believe was the greatest song he EVER recorded! I love that song. music

I'm not even talking about falsetto necessarily.

It's just that Michael could sing so high and Janet, and a lot of the Jacksons have high pitched speaking voices.... I guess I assumed he'd be able to go that high, no problem.

Lol I see.

Well not quite. razz Jermaine just fails at singing high in general anyway. He's best at his mid-range/baritone. He was always raspy whenever he did try to reach high. Michael's high voice eclipsed his during J5 rehearsals. lol

I think the only one of the brothers who would even come close reaching Michael's high notes without using falsetto would be Jackie. lol

What a fucking douche.

It amazes me that MJ was even related to this thing.
