Albums and Songs of the 1960s Poll, Part 2 So yeah, turnout has been pretty disappointing so far! Here is the initial thread, which seems to have expired. Ideally, I'd like several more votes before closing the poll, as I only have 8 album lists and 6 song lists. It makes me feel like a pre-60s poll would be even less successful, so I may wrap up these decade polls after this one to finish with the all-time poll.
Let's set the new deadline for March 15th. Anybody is welcome to participate! All you need is a list of at least 10 albums or 10 songs (or both!), ordered or unordered.
So get those lists in, people!

I've been listening to a lot of 60s music lately. I might add at least a short album list BUT my list WOULD have to include some Beatles
Of course I'd only include albums I actually have

Can't wait for a list from you!
I also tend to stick to the rule about only including albums you have, with few exceptions. That's why my 60s list is so pathetic. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Moonbeam, I can't believe you dig Pet Sounds !
yeah, this is disappointing I don't know if people are tired or what the hell, I refuse to believe that the org. doesn't give a damn about the 60s
c'mon boys & girls, just a list of 20 albums, that's not hard to do...

Good idea, the 200 best albums of all time including stuff of the somewhat forgotten 1900-1959 years... [Edited 3/1/11 16:52pm]

Sounds good to me! The only question I have is whether to expand the maximum number of items per list beyond 200 for the all-time poll...
I know I'd feel a lot more comfortable with 400 or even 500 as a limit as opposed to 200. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

that would be a failure... people are tired
on top of that, a limit of 200 or even 150 albums would force us all to choose only the very best albums of all time... [Edited 3/1/11 18:21pm]

Well, if I allow 200 for the decade polls, I'm surely not going to put a stricter limit on an all-time poll. I still have a while to think about it. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I will definitely post lists. Album list is almost done - singles list haven't started yet, but I have a general idea what will be in the Top 20. Will get them both posted before the 15th.

I'm sorry - but no list of 60s music is completely without at least one Bacharach/David song sung by Dionne Warwick...

I'm guilty of slacking and sleeping on the 60's list. I will work on wrapping it up within the next week for sure. I'm not sure about getting a 20 album list since most of my music comes from best of and greatest hits compilations. I think 10 is possible. Here is my album list. I'm sorry, but I just haven't had the time to think about putting a song list together.
And I have no idea why it's formatting so weird...i just copied and pasted from a word document.
