Hope I am not too late, you will find my list is mostly later 60s as I generally find early 60s (1960-63) music sans Motown and early Beatles rather sappy and week
Songs
1. Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones (Seriously this is legendary given the context) 2. Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix 3. Voodoo Chile (Slight return) 4. Jumpin Jack Flash - The Rolling Stones 5. I heard it through the grapevine - Marvin Gaye 6. Walk on By - Isaac Hayes (Its 69) 7. Tracks of my Tears - The Miracles 8. Your Love (keeps on liftin me higher and higher) - Jackie Wilson 9. When a man loves a woman - Percy Sledge (This song really requires closer lsitening, Sledge was a truly gifted vocalist) 10. My girl the Temptations 11. She loves you - The Beatles 12. Hey Jude - The Beatles 13. While my guitar gently weeps - The Beatles 14. Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles 15. All along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix 16. Mrs Robinson - Simon and Garfunkel 17. Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones 18. You can't always get what you want - The Rolling Stones 19. The Bells - The Originals (Lesser known Motown track, they were some of Marvin Gayes backing vocalists who had this delicious hit at the end of 1969, with a real early 70s harmony feel, like something the Chilites and Stylistics would do so well in the 70s) 20. Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones 21. Wolly Bully - Sam Sham and the Pharoahs 22. Alley Oop - The Hollywood Argyles 1960 (It was way ahead of its time I think) 23. Sittin on the dock of the bay - Otis Redding 24. I say a little prayer - Aretha Franklin ( I like it more than Respect) 25. Soul Man - Sam and Dave 26. Norwegian Wood - The Beatles 27. What now my love - Shirley Bassey 28. Strawberry Fields Forever - The Beatles 29. Walk on By - Dionne Warwick 30. Fool in Love - Ike and Tina Turner (She may have still been Little Ann then), I love this sonsg simple melody and its catchiness, probably their best moment together, sung when they were actually in love. 31. This guys in love with you (I am not sure if its 1969 or 70) Burt Bacharach 32. People - Barbra Streisand 33. Big Spender - Shirley Bassey 34. For once in my life - Stevie Wonder 35. I can't get next to you - Temptations 36. Get Back - the Beatles 37. Sunshine of your love - Cream 38. You really got me - The Kinks 39. Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys 40. Big Girls don't cry - The Four Seasons 41. You make me feel (Like a Natural Woman) - Aretha Franklin 42. I just don't know what to do with myself - Dusty Springfield 43. Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield 44. I got You Babe - Sonny and Cher 45. How sweet it is to be loved by you - Marvin Gaye 46. Come see about me - The Supremes 47. While my guitar gently weeps - The Beatles 48. Hes a Rebel - Ronettes/Crystals? 49. River Deep, Mountain High - Tina Turner 50. Just One Look - Doris Troy
There are so many more, but these come to mind the most.
ALBUMS
1. Let it Bleed - The Rolling Stones 2. Revolver - The Beatles 3. Are you experienced - Jimi Hendrix Experience 4. Rubber Soul - The Beatles 5. Electric Ladyland - The Jimi Hendrix Experience 6. Aftermath - The Rolling Stones 7. Sargeant Peppers .... - The Beatles 8. Beggars Banquet - Rolling Stones 9. Taking Care of Business - The Supremes and the Temptations 10. Beatles for sale - Beatles 11. The White Album - Beatles 12. Out of our heads - The Rolling Stones 13. Abbey Road - The Beatles 14. Hot Buttered Soul - The Isaac Hayes Movement 15. Led Zeppelin 1 - Led Zeppelin 16. Axis Bold as Love - Jimi Hendrix Experience 17. Funny Girl, Original Movie Soundtrack 18. Hair - The Soundtrack 19. 12 x 5 The Rolling Stones 20 Pet Sounds - Beach Boys
Albums are harder as most pre 1967 albums generally had a couple of singles and a lot of filler, especially Motiwn and soul releases, the Stones, Beatles and Hendrix fill up my list. I have never really cared much for Bob Dylan, I just can't get into him.

I've just bought the 2 new packs (nice price, highly recommended) that contain everything The Zombies recorded in the 60s and I must admit had I heard them before I would add Odessey and Oracle in my top20
