Explain?

hmmm Its a hard one.. What makes you say that?

talking about Justin, the song "Losing My Way" from the same album rips off Duran durans "The Chauffeur"..; same tempo, chord progression and melody... confused

It's not as hard as you think, "Love Stoned", is just a sped of version of "PYT". As a DJ, I have blended both of them, perfectly.

Iyaz new one. The chorus rips off the melody from Janet Jackson's "Again" from the janet album

That must be a sample right ? It's such an obvious rip-off.

I guess it's because it's not an actual "rip-off", it uses a sample that was cleared by MJ. Ironically, he is still getting sued for this song.

Yeah really, it's right Rihanna's credits. What MJ ripped off is NOT in "Wanna Be Startin Somethin"'s credits. Sherry you asked for it!!

1982-

1972-

I just listened to that original and I'm pretty sure it's been sampled in J.Lo's Feelin' So Good at 2:43 onwards:

I think it's probably more of a coincidence, or, at most, one of those subliminal things, really - so I wouldn't worry too much razz

Thriller-Michael Jackson/Give It To Me Baby-Rick James

Yeah, especially the bassline of Slick Rick. I've read also that when Q and the team searched for the intro of Thriller, they were inspired by Prince's intro of 1999, with the upbuilding synths 'n stuff.

Yeah LOL. I found Alfonzo a while ago on youtube. I thought it was a joke at first. lol

You can do subtle mannerisms like Mike etc... and get away with it, but flat out copying him is a impossible and laughable task to me. Mike's adult voice was just so unique really for pop music. It's very hard to copy well, as Alfonzo shows LOL.

Yeah, lol. Check their whole album too. Electrifying synth-funk from 1983, and recently reissued on cd. Amazon has copies for sale. Ebay may have them as well.

Right on ! Okay cool, so Steve used that "Jesse Rae"-alias as his composer-name. Thanx for your trivia !
