Any notice silly little changes on the "bad" remaster? Like no breathing on the intro to "Smooth criminal"? And the slightly early fade out on "Dirty Diana"? Nothing major, just a little odd. Also, where did Frank Dileo's ponytail come from LOL. I love that picture (a pastiche of Hitchcock of course). I can't find my original CD at the moment, but Iam pretty sure Frank did not have a ponytail LOL.

Pretty sure that frank always had the pony tail.

And the most noticeable omission on the Bad Remaster was the removal of Michael's spoken intro to I Just Can't Stop Loving You.

Hadn't noticed the others - but then I tend to stick to the original releases anyway.

The horn section was removed from Bad

reprised Michael's adlibs at the end of The Way You Make Me Feel

removed the spoken intro

and Dirty Diana has a slightly early fade out

they used the 7' mixes of Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Dirty Diana, and Smooth Criminal

they did the same with Rock With You and Get On The Floor on Off The Wall

Michael Jackson -- Casket Mystery Solved

Originally posted Apr 10th 2010 7:53 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

It's the answer to the question you were kinda curious about, then forgot about, but now you're like "Holy cow, I really want to know -- how did Michael Jackson's body seemingly disappear after his memorial, only to reappear at the cemetery?"

On July 7, 2009 the Staples Center memorial was held in front of thousands of people in downtown L.A. -- Jackson's body was ensconced in a $25,000 bronze casket.

After the memorial, although hundreds of cameras and thousands of eyes were trained on the exits, no one saw any evidence that the casket left the building. It fueled a grassy knoll-type theory that Jackson's body wasn't really inside the casket and maybe he was still alive.

Finally, our spies have come clean. Jackson's body did indeed arrive in a hearse, but it left in a SWAT van. The van was driven to a secret location, where it rendezvoused with a Forest Lawn van -- which then transported the body to the cemetery without being noticed.

2% RIP

You may be right. But as with all things MJ related I am willing to watch it before I make comments. I think it will be dubious in parts, but if it is like Halperin's book it may help people get over the whole false accusations against MJ and shed light on what really happened.

I don't expect it to be glowing, but do expect it will be balanced, if not salacious in parts to get some ratings.

Time will tell, til then I refrain from judgement.

Fuck that.

Who the hell is this Ian, anyway? Why does he get the honor of doing a documentary? Is he a world renowned journalist or something? Becuase we've all heard that crap before

Any of you guys happen to know where the "Interlude Mix" of "Leave Me Alone" came from? It's really good. Was it on a promo CD or something? Love the way it starts with the synth bass on it's own and then builds up.

How was Unmasked balanced aside from the part about the accusations?

But I get what you're saying, but I rather have something be balanced than salacious, which was what I feel Halperin's book and interviews have been. His credibility isn't strong at all at this point

Agreed that his credibility isn't bullet proof - but I think there were some very interesting parts to that book. Most of the salacious stuff he couldn't back up, but his investigation into the accusations did offer new insights. I give the guy credit for the fact that he freely admits he set out to write a damning book that basically convicted MJ with regards to the accusations, but that in investigating it and learning the truth he came to realisation that MJ wasn't guilty at all. Not many people with a book deal on the line would make that kind of change.

And yes he has had parts of the book disproven, but like I said I will watch with an open mind and see what is presented. I have been a fan now long enough to know you never get the whole story and a lot of what we will hear will be impressions and interpretations but before I praise or condemn it, I want to see what it is I am commenting about.

After all, I hated being a fan and having people claim MJ was guilty based on things they had heard, and not what they had actually seen or knew as a fact.

I read parts of the "Unmasked" book online... I don't get where the balance is at. Sounds more tabloid-ish especially with MJ's alleged homosexuality.

What Interlude Mix?

There's a bootleg compilation circulating with various mixes of the songs on one release. Tracklist is:

1. Leave Me Alone (Dub Version)

2. Leave Me Alone (Extended Dance Radio Edit)

3. Leave Me Alone (Extended Dance Edit)

4. Leave Me Alone (Acapella)

5. Leave Me Alone (Instrumental)

6. Leave Me Alone (Interlude Mix)

7. Leave Me Alone (Symphonic Megadance Gus Mix)

It's pretty cool to have all the versions together. They all seem official except the last one which I guess is a fan-made remix. It's possible the Interlude Mix could be fan-made also actually. I'm not really sure, but it sounds cool regardless.

The Acapella and the Instrumental are definitely real. If they weren't officially released anywhere, someone with access to the multitracks might have leaked them.

It is worth a read to be informed of what the whole book is about.

Only reading parts to me is like listening to The Lost Children and saying the whole Invincible album is crap, lol.

I'm all for people not liking the book (and I am not pro it) but I think in order to make a value judgement about anything you need to see it all.

I just think there is a rush to judgement on the documentary when people haven't even seen it.

With the acapella, they could've ripped it from the Moonwalker DVD. Was the DVD in 5.1? And yeah someone may have the multitracks....I'll look into it. I found out on MJJC that someone has demos from the Bad sessions, Men In Black, Seven Digits, and Invincible era outtakes

I've noticed a lot of fans making nearly professional sounding remixes with me thinking "the remix to that is out there?!" lol
