I like Rihanna, but with all the hype that was created for the single I expected seomthing bigger. The song is OK. I still think that Ne-Yo's productions are very bland and repetitive. | |

Yep. She's lucky to have a look that can model clothes well. Otherwise, if it was just about the music or even her personality, she wouldn't get anywhere near as much attention as she receives. I saw clips from the video, and she has that friggin eye patch, doesnt find that tacky, i mean we know why she has the eye patch, or at least what its symbolizing, but i mean, using that shit for commercial gain and people to take notice? But she is well calculated PLEASE dont for a second give her more credit than deserved, its CALCULATED there are meetings on these things, there is research on who will have albums come out at that time, who is their competition etc...theres no mystery in her or anyone around her, i mean im just shocked her song isnt called "punch in the face" "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F | |

I think the song is daring and brave, sepcially as a first single. She's way more than just a fashionista in my eyes. I think her music is very high quality and she keeps evolving as an artist, which is extremely rare these days. The best thing about Rihanna is that she emotes well..she puts feeling behind her lyrics and that's what makes her music so catchy and appealing.
If I were you all I would give the song a 2nd chance. She's an artist imo. Studiotraffic-One of the fastest ways to get payed on the net! | |

If I were you all I would give the song a 2nd chance. She's an artist imo. I gotta disagree, though she has evolved, there still to me seems to be this "production" and lack of involvement from her, and thats not just on her, these artists really just get produced and you really could interchange them easily so i cant give cred to say Gwen Stefani when i can get the same thing from Ashley Tisdale or Brooke Hogan as far as sound,vocals,and music. She does? Her vocals were cool in a song like "Rehab" for example, but all I hear in this new single is Auto Tune. And not the vocal-effect kind Lil Wayne and other rappers use, but the type to actually fix a voice, that people claim Britney Spears uses also.
