There's been more BS rumours about this tour than the HIStory tour if I recall correctly. He invited the Harry Potter stars, he's riding in on an elephant, he's singing with Britney Spears, he wants to adopt a new kid before the tour starts etc. It happens with every MJ tour. Truth is, we don't know shit 'til the shit goes down.

According to Actarus (a moderator @ MJ France) Michael has been rehearsing with the Talauega Bros for the past two months.

Raised in Richmond, Calif., near Berkeley, Rich was 17 and Tone 15 when Michael Jackson’s choreographers, LaVelle Smith and Travis Payne, discovered them freestyling at a club in Oakland. They were recruited to appear in a video for the R&B artist Shanice in 1994 and were soon choreographing for themselves and other dancers. “With our first gig we were already making up our own steps,” says Rich.

I love that clip lol Those guys are great. If that's who Michael is working with, his tour is gonna have some amazing dance moves. They did a superb job on Madonna's Confessions tour.I think that's her best choreographed tour.

Well you guys have to admit, there have been alot of crazy stories that have come out in that past week or so. They may or may not be true. I know all about just because you read it in a magazine or see it on a TV screen dont make it factual. Trust me, I know that to be true--but what I've also learned to be true is just because it sounds like made up BS doesnt mean it actually is either. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, and sometimes the stories turn out to be true or at least partially true. The thing is, with Michael, you never really know. You dont know what's been made up by the media, other people or by Michael himself, or what's the actual truth. It's always a guessing game with him.

For the record, I dont believe he really wants to adopt another child---I think he planted that story to the press just like I think he planted the story about him and Pam dating each other. As for the other craziness that's been reported, the jury's still out, Imma just wait and see what happens next in this crazy soap opera.

I agree entirely - which is why I think we should all wait for more facts to come out before we start jumping to conclusions. wink

True, but not only that, I believe that since he's back in the spotlight, some folks is using that so they can shine, too. For example, PETA. I believe that it's very hypocritical for them to protest against MJ wanting to use animals on his tours because in that case, protest against the Big Apple Circus, Barnum and Bailey circus, or any circus acts around the world that uses animals to showcase their acts.

Long gone. Here's a live vocal from 1996. Bare in mind that this weak-ass vocal performance is MUCH BETTER than versions of the same song later in the tour when his voice had deteriorated even more. Those later performances have never been put on Youtube, so even the loons must know how bad they are. But even here you can see his voice is WEAK.

Here's a half-live, half-mimed performance from 2001. You'll be shocked at how bad the live bits are. I wasn't. I heard much worse on the History 1997 dates.

He was clearly very ill and very high in 2001 so I wouldn't put that as any barometer to how he'd sound live. HIStory tour did sound terrible (although there are some very good vocals on that 1996 Brunei concert that wasn't officially part of the tour).

Singing outside in stadiums is much harder than indoors. Hopefully if he can be bothered to turn on the mic, slows down a little, tries not singing Human Nature live right after an energetic WBSS (seriously, does he not think before laying out setlists?) then it might be different.

Then again there's me being logical again when MJ is anything but that.

If you've spent almost your entire life on stage, it does take a toll on your voice. Well, I guess everyone has a priviledge to be human but him.

Two loon posts in a row. Michael has not spent anywhere near as much time on stage as about a hundred other artists I could mention, many of whom also started as children, so the loss of his voice is not a case of just being human. It's a rare occurrence and is the major reason why he dreads performing.

As for the other fan it sounds like you've got two different excuses. He sounded shit in '01 because he was high (being high never seemed to effect Marvin Gaye's voice much though), and he sounded shit in '97 because he was outdoors (tell that to Bruce Springsteen and Tina Turner). Delusion sure is a bitch, ain't it? What's the excuse for lip synching Soul Train in 1993? Wouldn't have anything to do with vocal problems would it? No, that's too logical.

Most likely Mike will re-record his vocals for the concert and mime to the re-recordings as he did for portions of the MSG show. Unfortunately, you can't mime dancing so it will take some fantastic lighting and effects to camouflage that aspect of his performance.

Now let's be fair here, that "i'll be there" performance was actually one of hist worst on the history tour...but
just listen how sick he sounds when he's just saying his brothers names at the end. I do think his voice has
gotten worse over the years but still, when a person has a cold, theres nothing you can do than stay home or in
mjs case here, sing. he does surprsise me sometimes...

Why did his voice sound so crummy throughout the History Tour?

Was it just a case of just having a bad case of throat problems during the tour? A case of his voices having deterioated, or was he just not into it at all?

I can't see his rehearsals being anything short of some kind of covert military operation. We won't know what's going on unless he wants us to- scratch that- his handlers- he'll have to get clearance to release something to.
