Out of all the costumes on this tour, that's the only one I don't really care for wink It just makes her look silly.

Couple of questions about the tour if anyone knows:-

1. Is Cloud one of Madonna's dancers again?? He's awesome

2. I know Nikki has been kicked into touch but is Donna on backup vocals?

3. Does she warm up the crowd with her resident DJ at the concert like she did at the Radio 1 Big Weekend?? He played an excellent half our set of mash-ups that led into her performance

Cheers gang

1. No, he's not in this show.

2. No, she's pregnant, there's a new girl instead of her.

3. I'm not sure, but I don't think so, there's Robyn or some famous DJ as the opening act at the European shows.

Thanks for the info,
1. That's a real shame, though I guess its a case of no one being allowed to get close to Madonna's star power. Anyone who starts to make a name for themselves is given the heave-ho. sad
2. Lets hope she doesn't give Donna the boot as well when she's available again
3. I've seen Robyn and she's ok...Every Heartbeat is a killer song. I'd rather have a good DJ set though

I don´t understand why she want´s to look like a 13 year old having a PE lesson. And I think she´s too skinny.

I don't think Cloud was "making a name for himself", other dancers like Tamara or Jason were already on 3 different tours. I think Cloud is having another show at the moment, or Madonna just wanted dancers with keeping only 4 from the Confessions Tour and Cloud happened not to be among them.

I'd agree with that, fron what I've hear of the S&S Tour so far.....he seems like a decent guy though ol' Cloud (from what I saw of him ont the Can I Tell You A Secret documentary), and he's a great talent, so I hope he's doing well for himself.

But I'm a bit dissaponted by the Heartbeat performance. I cdon't see the connection between the song and the performance yet?! neutral

I thought that. I loved the performance though. In the end I thought it must be about people who try and hold her back but underestimate how much the music and dancing are in her soul. So the throwing people off to dance was a metaphorical thing. Especially as she says 'I don't want you to save me, don't mean to disappoint you I've never felt so free' - seems to be a reference to people not wanting her to carry on being like she is??

that's a nice interpretation.

From yahoo Music News:
Madonna Dedicates "Like a Virgin" to Pope
(Writing by Deepa Babington; editing by Ralph Boulton)

ROME (Reuters) - Pop star Madonna, once accused by the Vatican of staging one of the most satanic shows in history, surprised fans by dedicating her hit "Like a Virgin" to the pope at a sold-out concert held in Rome.

"I dedicate this song to the pope, because I'm a child of God. All of you are also children of God," the 50-year old "Queen of Pop" told the 60,000 fans that flocked to the Italian stop of her "Sticky & Sweet" world tour on Saturday.

Italian newspapers gushed over the singer's electric performance and called the dedication a surprising provocation.

"At the Roman leg of her tour, Madonna didn't miss the opportunity for a provocation that will certainly be discussed," Italy's top newspaper Corriere della Sera said in a front-page report.

Madonna, who comes from a devout Italian Catholic family, has raised the ire of the Catholic Church in the past with sexually charged antics designed to shock.

In 2006, she staged a mock-crucifixion at a concert in Rome to the backdrop of accusations from the Vatican of blasphemy.

The Vatican also condemned her controversial 1989 video for the song "Like a Prayer" that featured burning crosses, statues crying blood and Madonna seducing a black Jesus.

The Vatican later panned a show where she decked the stage out with religious imagery as one of the most "satanic shows in the history of humanity."

No. Before "Hung Up" she always does a request moment and sings a few bars of a song the audience wants to hear. It was "Express Yourself" on all shows except the last two.

Thread resurrection time! Saw the show in Wembley 2 weeks ago and had a blast. I think overall this tour is better than Confessions. The opening is less iconic of course, but the flow is much better and the setlist is perfectly balanced.

My only complaint is "Human Nature". It was a meaningless performance, the crowd was not into it at all, a big mistake when it's between songs like "Beat Goes On" & "Vogue". I guess it was only done to include something from Bedtime Stories and of course to give Britney the spotlight. But other than that, the show is so energetic and captivating!

Highlights are "Vogue", "Into The Groove", "She's Not Me", "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You", "La Isla Bonita", "You Must Love Me" & "Ray Of Light".

"Borderline" could have been better though, after leaving it out for 6 tours, I expected more than a performance that sounded like "I Love New York" demo version or her Emmy days. "Like A Prayer" is nice but a bit weird, way too different from the original feel of the song.

"Spanish Lesson" is much better live than on CD, "Heartbeat" is decent now and "Give It 2 Me" actually worked well as a grand finale!

The video interludes were OK I guess, the remix of "Die Another Day" is a bit annoying but the tourbook video is cool. The "Rain" video is beautiful in my opinion, but musically it's barely "Rain", it's almost only Eurythmics. "Get Stupid" is done well, both visually and musically, and still manages to be different from the "Sorry" remix video.

The sound was good, maybe the bass is too loud but I certainly didn't experience all those bad stuff others have been complaining about regarding the sound. She uses pre-recorded vocals much less than last time around, maybe "Into The Groove" is the only song that's lipsynched, plus most of "Heartbeat" has the backing tape going on, but other than these, her live singing dominates throughout the show. i was hoping for something different, but she did "Express Yourself" in the request section.

Hope the North and South American fans are gonna love it as well!

I wonder if she will make any minor changes for the US leg of the tour? Remember when the Drowned World tour finally made it's way to the States? The song "You'll See" was removed from the setlist and replaced with "Gone" and she wore a slightly different outfit for the punk rock segment.

"You'll See" was only for like 10 US shows, the rest of the North American Tour still had "Gone". I can't really see any setlist changes. As for costumes, she did start changing the opening corset of RIT after the US leg as well, but this time around she's been switching the Old School outfit and the glasses on some dates, so I'm not sure if she's gonna do any changes on Saturday...

The 17 European concerts have contributed an astonishing $116,029,569 in grosses and attracted an attendance of 939,990 people. There are still at least 41 shows remaining to be reported to Billboard Boxscore over the next few months. When the tour is over, the cumulative gross and attendance of the entire tour shall be colossal. This tour is on track to easily SMASH the grosses and attendance figures for each tour Madonna has previously done, including Madonna's record-breaking 2006 Confessions Tour which was the highest grossing and most successful tour ever for a female artist.
