Cinnie

Listening to Silk Degrees with my housemate

in her 40s.

LOL! She is lovin' this and can't believe I never heard it outside of "Lowdown" and "Lido Shuffle".

I liked the first and last songs on side A "What Can I Say" and "Harbor Lights"

I see some Toto personnel on this.

SoulAlive

One of the greatest albums of the 70s music

I bought the remaster a few years ago.

"We're All Alone" is the only schmaltzy track on the album.I like it,but it's not one of my favorites.

My favorites are "Lowdown","What Can I Say","It's Over","Lido Shuffle","Harbor Lights","Love Me Tomorrow","Georgia".....hell,the entire album lol

There were four singles: "It's Over","Lowdown","Lido Shuffle" and "What Can I Say".I can't remember if "We're All Alone" was a single but it got alot of airplay and later became a huge hit for Rita Coolidge.

I love "Lido Shuffle" lol It's one of those 70s song that really makes me feel nostalgic.

some fun trivia about this album...

In 1977,while the movie "Saturday Night Fever" was being shot, the director used "Lowdown" in a scene. It appeared in a scene where Tony and Annette are re-hearsing a dance routine.Unfortunately,Boz or his manager refused to grant them permission to use the song,so it was removed.

Around the same time, they approved the song to be used in another film,'Looking For Mr.Goodbar'.

I always sing What can i say when it comes on over the speaker
at work. My co workers get a kick out of it when i sing it.

What can i say? Oh you got me acting like a lil school boy lol

I also like lido shuffle and lowdown of course.
We're all alone is cool too. I haven't heard this album in
years. May have to look for this on my next vinyl dig.
