It amazes how much hate people have for someone they don't even know or never met before.
To sit up here and say you lost respect for Janet as a human being is completly uncalled for. She hasn't murdered, robbed, or comminted any crime aginst another human being. I don't care if someone is boring as watching paint dry or dumber than a fly. You should still be able to respect them as a human being.

And yes Janet does lie. But who hasn't told a lie before it's just that Janet is a public figure so it magainified 100x and some of the stuff she has lied about was never any of our business to begin . And yes might have a sexuall side but who doesn't she ust more in touch with it than most people. And as a human being your not going to be perfect so I guess you don't have any respect for any human being.

Would the album "Janet" constitute as "old music"? I never got into "Control "and "Rhythmn Nation". But "Janet" I loved, it was even better than most of her brother's solo stuff.

"janet." was a great album and I'll take that anyday over what she's doing now.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Janet is one of my favourite artists of all time. Remember this Throb performance?

The janet. album may not be that great in retrospect but I love it. To debut with a mid-tempo jam like TTWLG and the warm tones of the lettering on the album and the video and the brown hair… And then the whole If video was hotness all around. I loved the new sexy Janet and at the end of the janet concert the balloons falling from the ceiling for Because of Love. It was just a feel good time (in my life anyway).

Okay, 2 things I remember about this performance was Omar...and the other was when Janet is standing over to the left and her voice catches and she put her hand to her chest like "oops" eek which I don't see in this clip, maybe they cut it out, it does seem to be skipping.

I love how the dancers get to showcase their skills but I always thought it would have been great for Janet to truly freestyle and kill it. This is when I realized her strength is in choreographed performances.

Anyway, I loved Throb. One of the closest tracks to a true club record in its original form.

YOU know what made me a fan.. her fun music.. what made me a crazy in love fan was how she could dance and perform..... and what made me love her.. was that she was so humble and down to earth... and NOT some egotistical diva... she is shy and doesn't need to be the center off attention... like so many other diva and divo artist out there.... YES she talks about sex too much.... but atleast she doesn't have an annoying big head, the whole world evolves around her personality.... Im not trying to bring up other divas.... but how can you love those divas when they are seriously concieted to the point.. where its unbelievable.... but not like janet.... Its like you Love arrogant people.. and dislike humble.... well im a humble person.. and i really like and enjoy being around humble realistic people...

JANETS new music is good too.. its just she doesnt bring the attitude and passion and creativity in her videos.... and when people don't see that.. then they probably don't want to give her a chance....

I still like JJ's personality aside from the sexualy kitten that she is it...

I don't want to hear about her genitals... My goosh... I didnt even want to know she was a sex freak.... keep that to yourself... If i was a sex freak the only person who would know was my husband....

I know that she has released good material today such as All For You, Damita Jo and so on but don't you guys think that her older stuff was more the bomb! She had some tight music back in the eighties such as When I Think Of You and Rhythm Nation.

Young Love was Janet's first career single from her self-titled debut album. Yes, her music career started a lot sooner than Control.

I miss when Janet was more harder and used to be more forceful on her tracks...The Knowledge! Pleasure principle, Rhythm Nation, Black Cat, New Agenda.

Now it's just fun short and sweet.....I kinda want Jan to be in her 'got to fight the power' mode again

nod

She was on such a great road...1st with Control, then with Rhythm Nation...songs were hot but SMART. Janet (the album) was hot too...but that was the beginning of the end. The girl needs to get back to the roots...get back with Jimmy and Terry and start making some decent MUSIC again.

To me the only time she has ALMOST completely lost the plot was with 20 Y.O. It's not even because of the sexual theme as much, although she is starting to drive that into the ground. With 20 Y.O she started to sound like every other run of the mill R&B artist. The thing I've always loved about her is that she always had a unique quality to her music that made it stand out, that was completely lost with her last effort. I hope she moves forward, but goes back with the next album.
