In the Sly tribute, who was that female singer in the short black skirt? She was standing with Maroon 5 on the stage. She's hot!

Thanks, America, for another Grammy. Oh where should I put this one? I don't know how to feel about it really. On the one hand, what difference does a glittery trinket mean in a world full of suffering and starvation and disease. On the other hand, I am so superior that I deserve to be loved and adored and worshipped. Damn moral delimmas!

goat2004 said: U guys r so full of it.....I think Alexander O'Neil had a song about U guys, it's called Criticize!
DO U guys really appreciate soulful singers? U guys said the opposite of what my friends saud about Mary. It's like U guys just look 4 shit 2 downgrade artist. Were u guys watching the same performance? Here is what u guys got right - Kayne West did borrow Kool Moe Dee's glasses, and Bono did sound a little off (both vocally and speaking) However, Mary J. Blige gave the song life because it was going no where and she brought it home. I spoke to five idividuals who all felt the same way. Is there something wrong with someone getting emotional when there singing? That means there feeling it, it doesn't mean there ghetto. Yes, Mary does get into her ghetto act sometimes but that's not what I saw tonight. And yes, I will admit (as I'm typing this) Mariah sounds really, really bad, on We Belong Together but sounded better on Mine Again. However, U guys r so full of it sometimes.. You hate soul music, or anyone who shows some emotion when their singing a fucking song. I understand, it's your opinion, and your entitled to it, I just had to stand up Mary on that one, U guys got that one completely wrong. And John Legend got a standing Ovation for singing his heart out and playing the piano - how the fuck does he suck? Maybe you don't like his brand of music - well, I respect that, but 2 say he sucks, is the most ignorant fucking shit I've ever heard. Ok, I'm done venting, enjoy the rest of the show. co sign Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

Ciara I thought Ciara sonded terrible because she usually tries to sing and dance a the same time. She was standing pretty still last night and still sounded terrible. I know the Maroon 5 dude had to be pissed.

Oh my...nothing fantastic....this one did nothing for me. The best performers in the world and they looked like none of them rehersed or really cared very much/or they were wondering where they were and why..
No artisrty...very little motivation.....something must change or the Grammy's will turn into the Day Time Soap Awards. This industry wil not allow real talent to be displayed or it will choke the talent and spirit out of an artist. God send another Prince 2 Us.....please.

Mariah was extremly nervous or something because that chick can blow and cleary she was off Mary J Bliege is an average singer at best and doesn't belong on the same stage as some of these artist. Its amazing how that chick just gets over year after year after year...despite the fact that people can hear that she can't sing Its simply amazing Oh yeah Kanye West is a complete asshole and has about as much musical talent as I do and less of an ear. He will be all but forgotten 5 years from now and the biggest difference between he and Prince is that Prince is a Musician not a hustler trying make money in an industry that has completely Whored itself out and is hollow to developing real talent because these fucking hip hop artist can do it so much cheaper [Edited 2/8/06 18:59pm] First Here's the thing about Mary J....sometimes she's on, and sometimes she's off...I remember seeing U2 and Mary J Blige on the Katrina Telethon and she came off rather soulful and in control...This Grammy performace was somewhere in the middle, where she starts off with control but goes fucking crazy and loses her damn mind (LOL); But hey, when you have somebody that sings from the heart like that sometimes it's more about the feeling than actual technique... Second...seeing Sly was fucking surreal...the mohawk man...WOW Third...You can pile on Kanye West for being an asshole all day (hey, i do it sometimes...) But to say that the man is a talentless whore is a a little off base....AND....CAN WE PLEASE STOP LUMPING ALL HIP-HOP ARTISTS IN THE SAME BOX...If you can't see the artistic merit in the likes of Common, Kanye, Nas, Jay-Z(when he's inspired), OutKast, and Rakim then go back to your nursing home (LOL...just jokes, but I'm saying...) Prince is my favorite artist and will always be ranked among the immortals...But shitting on newer artists to boost up our boy is pointless and silly....Let the current artists like Kanye enjoy their success... Fourth-- It was cool to see Paul MAC do his thing with Jay Z...very interesting, and weird...but in a cool way... co sign Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

it seems a lot of yall disagree wit me but i thought it was a nice show. the madonna opening was cool, the outfit was HORRID but i liked that little dance break. john legend was amazing as always, although i'm sick of ordinary people, the damn things been milked enough! mjb and bono were amazing! one is beautiful, altho i gotta agree about their voices. mary kept it cool at the beginning and fell into her usual wail, bonos voice was in a whole nother land, but it was still nice. hated mary's outfit. i dunno too much about bruce springsteen so i could be wayy off but he was channeling dylan HARD to me in that performance - it was beautiful tho but i had to keep tellin myself that aint dylan.
the sly tribute was hot. everyone was cool to me except ciara. IMO she was only there for eye candy, it just didnt work. adam didnt work to well either, especially not on that song. he coulda done que sera sera. fantasia and mohawk dude killed it for me! who was he?? i feel so bad for sly tho. does he really have something wrong wit his back?? cuz like @ first i thought he was posing but then he stayed like that so i;m worried and his hand was bandaged. it was good to see him tho. i LOVED his hair o yea..daves intro was hot, queens dress was a disgrace and coldplay needs to go back to wherever they came from!!!
