Dear Mr. Man..... ...I dig the song....Why do y'all hate on it? I'm still trying to understand how Prince turned 4 words (We tired of y'all) into 3.....He says we got 3 words for ya....Was it a mistake? |

Playing it right now  Don't know what you've read but seems like people dig it - it's mentioned as a fave pretty frequently here & in talking to marginal fans they always point that cut out  'Tis a damn good song (top 5 on the album for me) & I doubt the 3 words thing was a mistake - it's just a Princey thing to do IMO    I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it | |

That would have been 7 words.
I like this track. It's in my top 4 or 5 on the album. Seems most orgers like the track. I don't see people out and out hating on it, only some reviewers, who don't like the hackneyed politics. I like the music. | |

When the guy in the holding room at the release party
told us Prince was going to play "Mr. Man" I was excited to see what it would be like live and of course it was smooth and cool and Prince sang it with a whole lotta heart especially that last verse! it was very cool!  "Midnight is where the day begins" |
