My favourite duet is U Make My Sun Shine with Angie Stone, I just love that track! Too bad about the drumcomputer (especially the rimsnare, too loud and static), I wish John Blackwell handled the drums on that one. A Love Bizar would be second.

The worst I couldn't pick, I would say The Arms of Orion, although sometimes, when I'm in the right mood, I actually dig the song. I also don't like the duet with Madonna, not because of the song itself, but because IMO their voices don't fit together, everytime she starts to sing I cringe...
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

My vote is for a more obscure song. But I love "Yellow" with Shelia E on the Romance 1600 album.

I like We Gon' Make It Funky with Maceo and UMMSS. Downers: well, I don't care too much for the original version of Manic Monday with the man and sister soul Apollonia. Part from that, I tend to dig most of the few duets he's done. I agree on Nothing Compares, Still The One, U Got The Look, Why Should I Love You, altho that's not really a duet, he's just giving a bit flavor to KB's voice.

Anyway: nice page, you guys!

I agree , Erotic City has to be included, and take me with you was just awesome, but yea, Appolonia's voice range aint exactly much to write home about, but it suited the style of the song.. but I must say, what about "Anotherloverholenyohead" ..

I know it aint exactly a duet, but Susannah and Prince sound amazing together on it, so yea, why not include it, even if she is kinda just backround on it, Thats the case with many of his "duets" exclaim

Just cuz it's all so subtle and eary. Spooky but very romantic. Prince sounds like a dolphin splashing in the kitchensink on the backingvox. WAAAAAY Cool.

Howcome no one's mentioned that one yet? Don't like it???

"Why Should I Love U" w/Kate Bush
"LoveSong" w/Madonna
"U Make My Sun Shine" w/Angie Stone

Do U guys realy think that something like Cat rapping on "Alphabet St." makes that song qualify as a duet??

"Forever in My Life". What? You don´t consider it a duet?? Who´s the other singer?? The brother duets himself. That´s back in the day when Prince was a brother! Simply put, in one word, genius.

Ain´t no party till the PHUNK has arrived!!!!!
Whatever it is, it´s got to be PHUNKy!!!

Cloreen Bacon Skin --- It is just plain nasty..... if you count Alfred on drums and P on bass and vocals as a 'duet'.

Testing the system...Anyone out there like "Take Me With You" as a duet? Sure most of us have played Purple Rain to death, but it sticks out in my mind as the most hummable and radio friendly duet he's done Sure it doesn't change the world or run shivers up and down your spine, but it's still one of his more memorable efforts. I know I'm leaving out some goodies like "You Got The Look" and "Nothing Compares To You", but I think (stress the I THINK) that "Take Me With You" is the best duet he's done.

I soo love Take Me W/ You. The way Apolonia cant carry a tune yet gives it her all. I always found that adorable about the song.

My choice would have to be Lovesong. Its such an anti-duet. No mushy sentiments...no "i love yous"...the perfect song for the two complete opposites that be Maddy and Prince.
