I'll take Prince (when he was younger) on creativity alone. I'm not a fan of Darren's Dance Grooves nor those recycled 1980's Paula Adbul-meets Electric Boogaloo moves everybody does in their videos.

Having said that I think Usher is a better natural dancer. JB of course is the master and, based on stage show performances, Prince his best pupil. MJ is too self-conscious and repetitive to be a good dancer. As a kid, though, he had them all beat. Now he's just a stiff hack.

And another thing here are my thoughts on Prince and the whole is Prince better than or best at topics... In my opinion what makes P the man is the fact that he is great at so so many things of course he isn't the best dancer, guitarist or whatever else ever because there are people who JUST dance and JUST play guitar or just play the drums or just do the other 50 million things Prince is great at. In my opinion Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist I have ever heard meaning in a Prince comparison he would come out ahead no matter how much I like Prince. And one of the main reasons is he JUST played guitar thats it.... he dedicated his life to it, im sure if Prince concentrated his efforts into just one of his many skills he would become the best ever at it, but he is so talented he able to rank in the top of many areas but not the best ever. If anything he is the best ever at being good at many things musically and as an entertainer....

And Im not saying Prince isn't one of the best guitar players or dancers or anything im just saying he is a jack of all trades so he is good or great at many things but master of none.

If I was asked who was my favorite guitarist,Prince would be a name mentioned among others.If I was asked my favorite singer there are probablys a few I may rate above Prince. I would defo say that Prince is one of the best song writers there has been as good as anyone else. If I was asked my favorite dancer Prince is my 1st choice by a long way. I think to a certain degree the other dancers mentioned (JB not included),there dancing can be taught ,but imagine some1 trying to do that thing P does on SOTT Housequake when he pushes himself on his backwith his heals and works it into the splits,or even when he does that kick and spin thing at the end of the When Doves Cry vid,its fuckin difficult( Iknow I've tried) I feel I can imitate MJ's dancing fairly easily but P's is much more difficult.

As for not being rated at the best at anything, I cant name any1 individual that everyone agree's is the best,I've been on guitar websites and Jimi has been torn to shreds,steve vai has ,because people like different things.

4 this generation Usher is aight. Back in the day P would be da best BUT if he done all those dance moves he's done in many of the things ya'll mentioned I'd bet P would kick Usher's ass,4sho. & I like P's dancin' in 'Thieves In The Temple'(extended ver.) that's my fav vid of him dancin' in it that I seen so far(hoping they add it on the DVD release of GB). My fav part in it is when he's like in front of what seems a viewing screen(showin' various clips of GB) & he's standin' on top of sumthin' & dancin' wit this woman & he jumps down & starts 2 do a sorda Tina Turner-like dance(head turned 2 'my' left arms spread out & shakin' ),I LOVE that part. Newayz all da pplz copy it's jussa restart & JB probably wuz inspired by sumbody(which I doubt I'd know) It's just continuous stuff just pplz sugarcoating it wit their own styles.-IMO

It's apples and oranges....performers and musicians. Madonna, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, all performers. James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Prince, they're musicians. You won't find Prince lipsynching so he can dance in time with a bunch of faggy back-up dancers, and you won't find usher trying to pick up an axe or produce his own music. They're different breeds. However, if ANYONE doubts P's moves, just check out an '88 performance of Housequake. In his day he could glide, bust a split with a guitar on his back, and be back at the mike with enough time to brush his teeth. Prince has to be one of the best musicians that danced of all time. Usher goddamn well better be able to dance, since he doesn't have much else going for him.
