cinammon girl/hide your heart So I figured I'd see this up on the threads at some point -- but since no one's mentioned it:
Anybody remember "Hide your heart" from Kiss back in the 80's? I think it was a moderate hit -- anyway it's Cinammon Girl, no really. Ya know the whole section that repeats with the driving guitar and him singing about Babylon?--Well I think that's Hide Your Heart, I recognized it immediatly...just thought I'd mention it. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, they both are probably just getting it from something else I don't know about, but it sure seems to me to be the exact same chords -- just thought I'd mention it.

I remember it!... and yeah, the verses are kinda similar (though not close enough to make
alarm bells ring). I also thought the same thing with 'The Marrying Kind', there's a part of the verse structure that sounds a lot like Alice Cooper's 'King Of The Silver Screen' (though again, it's not that close, just a part of the chord progression). The rhythmn and tune of the female vocals in the chorus of 'Life O The Party' also remind me of Vanity 6's 'Nasty Girl' (but since Prince wrote that, we'll let him off )

'Empty Room' seriously sounds like 'Smelly Cat' by Phoebe from Friends.
Empty room, Empty room, What have they been feeding U? Empty room, Empty room, Its not your fault! Etcetera.
