I'm diggin Prince's image this tour, I think he may realize that he's not going to be posing nude for any promo T-shirts or posters for this tour. Do you think this was a decision on his part or just a coincidence? I think Prince must realize that the nude covers and t-shirts turn a few people off, especially heterosexual males.

I think the Lovesexy cover was a turning point for many Prince fans. They couldn't deal with his image anymore and were ashamed to admit they were fans. I was talking to some younger friends the other day, and they didn't want to admit that they got Prince tix for the tour this summer. They said the tix were for their girlfriends!

Prince has always had the feminine look going on, so I can't see any fan being turned off by his 'Lovesexy' look. Plus he is older now and realizes that he can't do the things that he did 20-25 year ago...like pose for pics with nothing on but a bikini and a trench coat...to loosely paraphrase Prince on The Tavis Smiley show...40 year skin ain't the same..or something along those lines. He probably knows that he would look foolish, pushing 50 and trying to dress like he used too...

Obviously he'd look like a fool if he tried to do the same thing he was doing 25, 20, or even 10 years ago, but I mean, COME ON! This is Prince! He used to make people sit up and pay attention just by what he's wearing. Nowadays, he's pretty easy to overlook. And I don't just mean because of his height....

Those shoes are still damn cool though. If he ever quits wearing the heels, I'll track him down and beat him with them!

But to give my $0.02, even tho he looks DAMN good, he is 45, about to be 46 years old. So the fact that he's not still trying to be out there in a trench and bikinis says to me that he has some sense. Plus, he has embraced another faith. Um, it's called maturity and though I fight it everyday too, it's a wonderful journey as well. As Grandma says, "Keep livin', chile."

And she's right. Glad this is in writing... hope that we all can review this in 5, 10 years. I'm glad this wasn't around in 81 - 88, cuz I was a maniac and looking at my diary scares me. God knows what would have happened with input!!!

Please, I don't think Princey gives a damn what people think about how he dresses - outrageous, near naked, whatever. The man wore a polka dot shirt on the simulcast - come on!

I think he's doing a more appropriate thing for his state of mind & age right now. But don't sleep - the shirt was very open in the 2nd costume change & he got SEXY w/ the sleeveless shirt & TIGHT PANTS @ the end It's all in the pants... & the showing of the pants

I thought I saw that fuzzy chest during the simulcast, I was beginning to think that I was delusional or something. Came out in a suit w/jacket, lost the jacket, changed shirts w/a few buttons undone, then chest, not all of it but enough to tease. Anyway I love the new look, still fits in with his alter ego image.

He's done this look a few times now, it's just been 13 years since the last time . . .

He wore suits and short hair for UTCM/Parade, and he definitely had the suit look nailed down with Diamonds & Pearls (although he wore the typhoon hairdo).

My point: he goes through phases, and now he's in a "suit" phase again. It just seems like this phase is lasting a LOT longer this time around . . .

As for being media-savvy now, he did the rounds for Emancipation. I think (or hope) that he has learned from his mistakes in this area, and we'll be seeing him in public or on TV a lot more often . . .

well lets just face it, the man is a genius. he can do a whole album by himself, while most artists nowdays must have backup singers to "enhance" their voice (i.e. Ashanti). he can sing in a deep toned voice and hit a high note higher than Mariah. he's a dance machine, writer, musician, producer, and sexologist all in one. What more can you ask for?

even though i'm just 21, i just love him to death and i'm not ashamed of it. all of my friends know whats up when they ride in my car, they are definitely going to hear prince before they exit. i appreciate good music and most of all, i appreciate him.

he looks just as sharp as he always has, the way i see it. covered up or not, he's always looked sharp.
