I'm eager to hear reactions to the book when it's released. It looks like something I'd want to own but $60 ain't cheap.

I've seen it on sale with my own eyes!!!!! I've held a selaed copy!!!!!

There has been no official word of release yet from Uptown, although it is due for release imminently.

Going by their previous books, this will be pant-wettingly informative.

It is an amazing book. It takes all of UPTOWN's books, and Per Nilsen's book (DMSR) and alot of new information (from interviews, work orders, etc.) and puts it all together for the first time. If you thought the earlier UPTOWN books were comprehensive, you'll be blown away. If you've never bought a book from UPTOWN, this is the one.

I do know that they are making a limited number of them, so I'd try to get one before they stop publishing them.

As for when it comes out, I know that the final touches are being done right now. For now, everyone is going to have to get the latest (and last official) issue of UPTOWN. Sad to see the magazine go, but THE VAULT will be an amazing thing to replace it.

He knows I'm huge PRINCE fan so he came in one day and said "look what I just got in the post!" and it was the that book (THE VAULT) that I posted a pic of on the forum. He just pulled it out of a padded envelope, so i pressumed he had just recieved it in the post that morning. It was shrink-wrapped in plastic tho so I didn't get 2 look inside it.

I had never even heard about the book before so I just pressumed it was a newly released book and something I'd be able to get hold of which is why I asked everyone else what it's like and if it's worth getting or not.

If he comes in2 our store again I'll be sure 2 ask where he got it from etc.

I searched for the book online and found it on the MADHOUSEMUSIC website. Maybe they have copies for sale right now. (??)

I didn't even realise it wasn't out! If I had of known I would have wanted to look at it more but I simply thought I could order it just as quickly myself!

It must be recent, because orger Joost, who is working on the book said a few weeks ago that it wasn't released yet. So please... Any info.

It is not out yet. It is still being worked on, I can say that for a fact.

Anyone who says they have a final copy, sealed and delivered is not telling the full truth.

I guarentee that it has not gone out for distribution yet. Someone is mistaken.

I know because I am working on it. It should be out in the near future, but it isn't quite ready yet.

Right now, enjoy issue #60 of UPTOWN which just came out. It is the final magazine issue and I think it maintains the standards that UPTOWN has set for itself over the years. Personally I am sad to see the magazine stop, but THE VAULT is going to be an amazing new chapter for UPTOWN.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed making it... you'll just have to wait a little longer until it cools! lol.
