Musicology in theaters. . .

What are the odds that this (sattelite, I guess?) theater thing will go well technically? Prince's team isn't exactly known for making sure that such things have the kinks worked out before going live. Maybe it's not as tricky as it seems like it might be. . .I'm curious if any of you know exactly how it's gonna work, as far as equipment, how it's being transmitted, etc.

I'm just imagining the org the next day. . ."Hey, half of the concert didn't come through at my theater, I paid $15 for that, I'm calling the BBB!". . .ya know? I guess we'll see.

I hope it works. Should be fun.

I'm guessing it will start at least 20-30 minutes late. I mean, come on. It's Prince after all.

Though I do seem to remember him starting ON THE DOT when I saw him in Chicago on the ONA tour...or maybe I dreamed that....

He started at precisely 8:00 for ever ONA show in the US that I'm aware of, except for the Florida one, which was about an hour and a half late due to part of the stage falling down after the soundcheck. eek

But yeah....I think if he's gonna plan on starting at the actual advertised time this time they should advertise that, because most people who are less in the know Prince-wise would assume that it would start late and that there would be an opening act of some sort.
