Photos: Prince At Rock Hall Of Fame Ceremony

Photo from getty images.

From Reuters News:

Prince kicked off the star-studded festivities with an electrifying performance of "Let's Go Crazy," "Sign 'O' The Times," and "Kiss," that brought the formally dressed audience in the ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel to its feet.

He was introduced by Alicia Keys and OutKast.

"There are many kings. King Henry the 8th, King Solomon, King Tut, King James, King Kong," said Grammy Award-winner Keys. "But there is only one Prince."

"When I first started out in this music industry I was most concerned with freedom," said Prince, whose 1984 "Purple Rain" sold 17 million copies. "I wish you all the best on this fascinating journey. It ain't over."

WOOHOOO!!!! I was at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony simulcast in Cleveland, Ohio. I met up with some other orgers, grandbelle, dawnrose, lace17, Crystal (sorry I forgot what your orgname was), and ag2grafix (thanks for the wonderful laminates you made for us) and we had a super time!!!!

The energy in the Hall of Fame was unbelievable, people were really getting into the Prince performance, as well as the other inductees performances. There were a lot of Prince fans in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame house, including some from the Florida NPG (Prince was well represented by the many fans who came out to show their support for him).

Prince put on a great performance as usual, and he looked very nice (hard to believe that the man is 45 years old). Be sure to tune in this Sunday night at 8:00 on VH-1 for the performance, I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

To my fellow orgers that I had the pleasure of meeting tonight: what can I say, you guys are a great bunch of people and I really enjoyed meeting and getting the chance to hang out with you tonight. I feel bad that I couldn't go to the Spy Bar with you tonight, but if I didn't have to work the next day, believe me, I would have been there with ya. I hope we get the chance to hang out together again soon.

Could somebody please tell me about that hot silver thingy on P's ear in these pictures? I've noticed it before, is there a name for them?

Also, if anybody knows of any sites that might sell 'em, I'd be grateful.

Peace is now,

I forget what he calls them, but Ellen (Degeneres) referred to them as 'Ear Bling' when he was on her show... lol

He sells them on his website, I think.
