biggrin That chick busting her ass was damn near the highlight of the show! wink Great show. His interaction with the fans dancing on stage was actually fun to watch (and I'm in the camp that hates audience members on stage). Prince had the charisma turned waaaaay up tonight. The voice sounded great, band was straight tizight, absolutely loved the acoustic set. This show was straight up fun. Too soon to say, but this show will compete for best Prince tour, imho.

Lil man had people screaming, flicking lighters and clappin in the movie theater yall biggrin l Must sleep now....

Were you one of those huge black women in the theater? It seemed that every sister weighed at least 250. I watch peope and it really is true that Americans are getting fatter and fatter. Fortunately, none of them sat next to me.

Regal pulled it off nicely. Every fan that deserved a CD got one and the sound system was great. I was skeptical that it could handle a live rock concert. The picture was crystal clear as well - not a fuzzy mess like the DVD screening in MD.

Prince was spectacular - it seemed that he got even faster and sharper on guitar. I did want to see him on piano though. With that great new stage set up, they will have to stop letting fans up there. Someone is going to fall off and try to sue Prince and ruin the rest of the tour for all of us.

Well, the setlist has been put out in other posts, there weren't really any surpises, but a really really good rendition of A Question Of U/The One. The Acoustic guitar set was nice. Casual fans will enjoy the show more than diehards I think, but it was well paced and put together. There were really no totally revamped songs, so pretty much there's nothing to add. A very good solid concert. Maceo wasn't there. The funniest part of the evening was when he doing Purple Rain and a lolt of people in the theater lit up their cell phones smile

It's kinda like listening to TVBOP; you already own it, but like hearing it anyway.

I went to the Reno show and saw the screening here in Houston, pretty much the same show. he did more songs in the acoustic set, On The Couch, Sometimes it Snows in December. I though the version of Purple Reign he did in Reno was the best I;ve seen so far. Theatre had a good vibe, much fun had by all.

Even the altered lyrics were nicely done...When he was singing bout coming over for Bible study, some horny chick was screaming, "I'll come over"....

It was definitely a PG concert--no cursing but still a lot innuendo in the songs...I think he balanced it nicely. Nothing as blatant as The Christ, but I can live with his changes for sure.

Another funny moment: When he said he ain't had his none done (a dig at MJ for sure)smile

He knocked it out of the park. They should have shown this live on cable... They need to make a dvd....

Took the mood of the "Baby I'm A Star"/soul train jam from the Purple Rain concert... spread it out with the Parade tour kind of soul man energy....

And a strong version of "7".

Only 3 costume changes...

Many celebrities seemed to appear before the show rolled... No Doubt, Eddie Murphy for sure... was that Jack Black? Was that Stevie Nicks?

It was brilliiant. His shorter hairdoo bought back Parade, but with the loose polka dot shirt from Lovesexy.... he looked exactly like he did back then, at times....

The vocals are so strong.. what tricks are they doing?

He was so dead on with his energy. When DMSR starts going, it feels crazy.

That cover he did before "Life of the Party" was wicked. I forget the name...

Hope someone taped this broadcast and lets it out... or Prince and Sony release it.

biggrin wink Oh my gosh!! JuSt got back form the wcreening and it was GREAT!! My boyfriend thinks I am crazy to stay up this late to go to a movie and then go to the concert in May, but Prince does not come to St. Louis too often and I am going to get some of everything I can. The picture was great! No fuzziness. Sound was good too. Although they had the sound turned down kind of low in our theater . Also after the show they were rolling up all the posters and sending them back. What's up with that? Regal Cinema did not hand out one single poster and rolled all of them back up to send who knows where. Oh Well that would have been a perfect way to end a perfect concert, even with the fan slipping on stage. Was any one else's sound down besides in just St. Louis? Well I'm going to bed and making sure I don't get that other kind wink HILARIOUS The man has a sense of humor. I did not see one camera flash in the whole place did you?

I just got back and I loved it eek lol! On top of this, Im' driving to Bakersfield tuesday to see that show, and then I'll wait until June for the San Jose shows. The only gripe I have was that he should have spent more time of "W D C" sad cry, and the other songs they sped through during the medeley. Everyone in the theater enjoyed and I could care less for those who didn't evil rolleyes. If you don't like him now, why are you wasting your time here. There's always Justin ( the AMIdol one, not White Michael who got a free cop johnwoo, pssy!)

* PEREFECTION *

Screaming guitar solos, Great set list, fonky dancing, awesome audience interaction, an acoustic set to die for... he had everyone eating out of his blessed hands!

Acoustic version of Sometimes it snows, really got me.

Only negative point was the sound system in our theater (Irvine), shrill and peircing sad

Whole thing kinda reminded me of Livesexy vibe, Prince was having F U N !

Oh yeah and he hasnt had a nose job to hit them high notes wink

He went Old School on me for a minute. It just was not long enough. It's never long enough. I wanted to hear Adore, Family name, Old Friends For Sale, Housequake, Pink Cashmere, Raspberry Beret, Strange Relationship, Morning Paper, Damn U.....

I know I know.. SOOOO many songs..SOOOOO little time. I could watch that man 24/7 in action. It's a beautiful thing to watch him perform.

Did you see that lady slip up on stage in front of tens of thousands of people. What a dingaling? You can darn well bet my azz be groovin like a mo fo AND, I would most definitely not move away if he came near. I would make sure to face him at all times. That man would be my dance partner. We b jammin..havin a ball.

Prince facial expressions when he was leaning on that one lady and looking at the other big ladies big booty was priceless. Buggy big eye! lmao

I got nothin but love for the undisputed truth!

side note on the Musicology CD-Is this CD-R? There are no track listings available when i play it using Real Player, but it does on store bought CD's. (It just says "no information available"). I'll probably buy it again when it comes out, just for the booklet and info, and hopefully lyrics.
BTW, they gave it to us in a paper CD-Single type sleeve, no pic of Prince on it, just mUsicology on front, and the track listing on the back. (Ia in't complaining, though..no way)
