on certain bootlegs recorded in 1983, there is a live version with an extra verse. i've only heard about it through word of mouth, but to the best of my recollection it goes:
 don't want 2 have U, baby
don't think even want ur love
only want to c u laughing in the Purple Rain
really quite weak, and inconsistent with the rest of the song... i think it's a good thing he took it out. | |
