What's with the stupid looking hat Mani's wearing?

It looks like Janet Jackson's old hat from her 1989 'Escapade' video, or one from the bottom of Yoko Ono's closet.

Prince - invest in a stylist for yo girl.

You actually think you're being insulting, there's nothing wrong with the way Yoko dressed back in the day.

Why can't she wear what she likes to wear, instead of being controlled by some "expert"?

Well, Let me say I drove for Detroit, MI to Cleveland to see THE MAN, I mean THE PRINCE, Inducted into the Hall of Fame. I was not disapointed. I did miss he's later performance. Had to make it home for work.

I have to say he look good and he sounded better. I can't wait until he comes to the Motor City. I also purchased my ticket for the showing of the March 29, show in Walled lake movie theater.

Did anyone see anything about Prince in the Hall of Fame. let me know I must of missed it. lol

I am so sick of that tired catch-all comeback of "Yer just jellus!" rolleyes PUH-LEEZE at least come up with something more original next time. smile

And yes, I do think what I said about Mani's hat is insulting and that's because I think her hat looks stupid. And no, it's not because I'm "jealous". You have a different idea of what's fashionable and looks good and that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion and guess what? I'm entitled to mine. Just be glad we don't have to dress each other.

ANd I still think Mani's hat looks dumb. biggrin

Exactly, to each his own. Which was the point I was trying to make when I said your "Jealousy, that's all it is." remark was tired and not accurate.

Anyway I don't wanna fight with (or flame) anybody over Mani's hat.

I apologize if you felt I was flaming you. If I did, I didn't mean to come across that extreme.

c'mon, you can't chalk EVERYTHING up to jealousy. some of us just don't like the damn hat in that context, that's all. i was just looking at that hat in the picture with my best friend, who is a wonderful stylist (she's works throughout the states and europe) and we both agree that the hat just dosen't really work on that girl. another chick could probably rock that hat just as fierce as yoko did back in the day, but on his p's wife, it looks out of place. on her that hat looks like it would be more appropriate for high tea, or a day at the races, rather than a black-tie music industry gig. i agree that it's a fashionable hat, but it dosen't look as flattering on her as it might for someone else. on a different girl one could get the "rock star chic" persona out of this look, but in this case i'm only feeling a "king juan carlos's distant niece" kind of vibe. not that that's a bad thing. it just looks a lil strange for some of us (and especially those of us who are actually in the image making business).

...ah! at the end of the day who really gives a darn anyway, huh?! it's all just harmless fun going on here. biggrin

and to really beat a dead horse.....
when I first made the Yoko comment, I just said that Mani looked like her in one pic. Nothing about Yoko herself at all. Who's to say that I don't like Yoko and her hats. When I see people wearing hats like that, Yoko Ono immediately springs to mind. Nothing negative about it, or her. Some people just jump to conclusions.

shhh I don't like the hat either. I thought also of a British wedding, as well as Yoko. lol
