well I thought kiss sounded weird...maybe too many instruments. it wasnt as funky as it should be. I feel 4 U was good but again maybe too many instruments. nothing compares can never be done wrong..that is as close
to perfect as a song can get. these are just my thoughts dont slam me.

Sorry to say, she seems nice and all, and I know lotsa the straights think she's hella fine, but she can NOT sing good enough to be dueting with Prince, not even CLOSE. I mean compare her voice to Susannah's or Boni's or Rosie's or Wendy's or hell, even Apples - Pop Life being a great example. She's a really good bass player and I like watching her face while she plays and I enjoy her presence in the band...just, you know...can't he find a woman that can sing AND put up with his ..... eccentricities? Please. Rhonda may not be the best singer, but SHE AIN'T NO DAMN APOLLONIA!!!! NO ONE is that fucking horrible. And to compare her to Rosie or Boni is just flat-out insane. Those ladies were in a whole different league than Rhonda. I'm thinking that's the whole purpose of having her sing backup and not take leads on certain songs like he gave to Boni or Rosie. Word! Don't forget that Rhonda, RAD and Chance play their asses off WHILE singing. I liked their harmonies, sounds full and round.

I really liked the Ellen performance. The sound was great and the funk had some 'oomph'.
Loved the new arrangements and it made me really wanna go see the tour.

prince has aged. everybody sees it. he even acknowledges it. it's cool.
but why wear a sleeveless shirt onstage? it looks stupid on a 45 year old. secondly, prince shouldn't dance anymore. it looks silly imo. i always liked him best while playing the guitar or piano. he can move, but while playing an instrument. thirdly, it's nice to hear those older tunes. i just wish he'd perform them a little bit more raw. they're so clean nowadays. but enough about that. it's good to see he's getting a bit of media attention. he's been wanting that for quite some time i'm sure. no matter what he says. let's hope the tour will be hot. he needs it to sell a record which probably won't be. i might sound a bit pessimistic, but you're just easily dissapointed nowadays. so, i'm preparing for the worst. don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

Also prince don't move stand stock still. Prince no doubt has more rythmn in his little pinky than u have ever had or will. It astounds me how joe blow in polookaville somehow thinks they know whats best for arguably one of the greatest talents in popular music history. Humble yourself idiot.

i feel the same way. Also prince don't move stand stock still.
what are you trying to say? well, IN MY OPINION he shouldn't dance. he can't do the moves he used to do, the ones that were cool anyway. what's left looks silly IN MY OPINION. he CAN groove however. Prince no doubt has more rythmn in his little pinky than u have ever had or will.
obviously. It astounds me how joe blow in polookaville somehow thinks they know whats best for arguably one of the greatest talents in popular music history.
i was just expressing my WISHES. how can i make him do this or that? and by the way, prince is way past being a talent. it's 2004. Humble yourself idiot.

i wasn't impress with his performance on Ellen.
actually it sucked. all of sudden he's doing so many shows on tv and there's no quality control behind it. before when he rarely did his shows on tv, it was better b/c he had more time to prepare so the quality of his performance was very good. but now days his performance is boring and we are all tired of hearing same song. he needs to come out with some new hit singles b/c there's a point when everyone will be tired of hearing purple rain stuff....

he's been doing this performance of 'nothing compares' since (at least) 1997, the jam of the year-tour. it's not new. it disappointed me that he performed it exactly the same. he even gave candy that same old cue for her solo... it was nice to hear him do oldies. he said he'd changed up the old arrangements. well, it wasn't that different imo. well, except for some extra horn arrangements here and there. if you do it, then do it like he did 'let's go crazy' on the grammies 2004--that was fire! don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
