1. 10 to 12 songs max
2. Free of any narrow-minded religious views 3. Well-arranged (i.e. the strict opposite of the Emancipation sound and no over-production a la 3 chains of gold) 4. Focused and inspired 5. Musically challenging 6. Funk, jazz, pop, folk, blues, I don't care as long it sounds interesting and it moves me 7. Opened to outside influences 8. unexpected, small-numbered and well-used guests (it would be nice to hear them play or sing for a change) 9. and, last but not least, with a proper release and clever marketing strategy. What do you want the next Prince album to be?
A collection of his favourite JW hymns. Seriously though, an album of varying muscial styles, something that sounds like he hasn't run out of ideas, or even another collection of vault stuff. Definitely not another TRC though, or he's one step away from being Val Doonican. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |
