My mom and I were just watching this. She asked me if Prince is still alive. I wasn't sure how to respond. evillol

Does that mean that he's number 3 at the bank?
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

He wasn't #3... he was given an honorable mention b/c he was not even in the top ten list. Just before they announched #2 (MJ) they said " and an honourable mention to Prince and David Bowie"... Glam Rockers!

That's what they called them. Anyhow they said something like he getsw the most peer praise and then showed a clip of Bono calling Prince the Duke Ellington of somethig or omething.. whoopie!

i thought prince was overlooked

an honorable mention as a glam rocker

does not do him justice

greatness should not be measured

in terms of record sales

the impact that prince has had

on other musicians and the

listening audience is priceless

u cannot box him into the

category of glam rocker

he has broken down the barriers

of music across all genres

prince is one of the greatest

and most profound artists

of all time

The best thing about the list is #10 & #9.

10. Sting
9. 2Pac

Sting as a musician sure, but 2pac was a poet not a musician. No disrespect to his art, but a DOCTOR is not a LAWYER just because they both went to Harvard.

Prince should have been in the top 2 without a doubt on any list but his politics have forced him out. MJ may soon follow.

Also some one mentioned that record sales help determine these list, but one again come on. Prince has been out of the mainstream for what 10 years and still has sold as many LPs as any artist in history. He has certainly sold more than #9 and 10. And GOD don't tell me that they put Madonna on the list too.
